I am restarting my characters on Dalaran but I have been gone from the game so long it is like starting over. Problem is if you are starting from scratch you learn what you can do as you go along. My mage is 57 though and my priest 55 and they have all these spells I can't really remember how to use too effectively. If anyone has quit for an extended time then started over or just has some advice in general it would be greatly appreciated. I mean advice on anything and everything including game guides, add ons for these 2 spell casters, talents, etc.

Thanks much.

Best advice is to Wipe your hotbars of all spells.

Then, read ALL your spells that you have.. and rebuild your hotbars that way.. good refresher on what does what. Mage will be easier to figure out again, as you can go solo stuff and remember what all your spells do quickly.

The priest will require you to relearn how to heal a group.

There are TONS of add ons out there... for the Mage there is a nice one called Cryolysis I think... a little mod that organizes alot of your magely functions...

Pretty much my best advice would be after you get your hotbars all rebuilt and solo'd a few things to remember the basics, get a 5 man of Avians and go do some random hunting... start off slow, then work on bigger targets that pressure your skills a bit... you will find it will all come back pretty quick.

The fine tuning can be done over time once you get the hang of it down again.

If you go Priest, let me know and I'll coach you a little. There's a few things that changed with your priest since you've been on ( mage too)
