Okay, after long discussions and other various torturous methods, we have come up with what we think is a very fair and fun loot system for our Alliance Raids. We are going to run with this system for about a month, and then evaluate how it is going. If you have any concerns once you see it up and running... please let us know. All concerns will be noted and discussed when the review period begins. We want everyone to have shots at loot, and for it to be as fair as possible.
Alliance Loot Rules
Yes, we will be instituting a "Points" system.
Calm down !!!! This system is very simple, and very fair (in our opinion). Every person who comes on one of our runs will recieve 50pts per run. Points are per character, not per account. The one exception is if a person is asked to bring a different character than the one they want to bring, they can choose to apply that 50 pts. to either character they wish, as they are "Taking one for the team" so to speak. We aren't making any very strict "Stay the whole time or you get no points" rules, but common sense will prevail. If you are there for a fair amount of the run, the points are yours. If you leave after 5 minutes, well, no points for you. Sorry.
ALL Blue and
Purple items will cost 100pts. There will be no inflation. Person with the highest point total gets the item, and it costs 100pts. People are allowed one Blue/Purple item per run. Once you get an item, you go to the back of the line for that run. However, if NO ONE else bids on an item besides a person who has already won an item, that person WILL get the item, and it will cost another 100pts. We are not disenchanting usable gear.
Point totals will be kept by Athaelas. This individual will maintain the Point totals (will be viewable by all in the Alliance). Lootmasters (Manni and Stoutchest) will deal with all looting. Your point total CAN go negative. There is no cap how negative it goes.
Example
Leggings of Might drops. All the warriors bid.
Warrior A has 150 pts (already won an item on this run)
Warrior B has 100 pts
Warrior C has -50 pts
Warrior D has 0 pts
Warrior B wins the item, and now has 50 pts.
Say another Warrior item drops, and all Warriors bid again.
Warrior A has 150 pts (won something)
Warrior B now has 50 pts (won something)
Warrior C has -50 pts
Warrior D has 0 pts
Warrior D gets the item, and now has -50 pts.
Core Goods will be looted and split evenly by designated looters / skinners. Each Guild (SoA and Outcasts) will recieve an equal share of
Core Leathers,
Lava, and
Firey Cores. Any odd numbers will be rolled on by the guild representative. PuG members of the raid will NOT have access to these items.
BoE Greens Will be greeded on at end of raid, one per customer per catagory (ie, you can win one green loot item, one green bijou or coin or scarab).
BoE Blues & Purples Will be bid on with the "Points" system at the end of the raid. One exception to the "One Blue" rule will be Blue Faction items such as Scarabs or Idols, etc. They count as a class of thier own.
BoP Blues & Purples Will be bid on with the points system after the fight is over.
Legendary Quest Items Items such as The Eye of Divinity, the Hunters Leaf, and Thunderfury parts are special cases, and will be spelled out individually.
Before each raid begins, the Raid Leader will determine who will be recieving the Legendary items that drop. This applies to the Eye of Divinity and the Hunter's Leaf.
Thunderfury Parts: Thunderfury is a special case, and on these Alliance Runs, we have determined that for the betterment of the Alliance, the first Thunderfury we will be forming is going to go to Vlad of The Outcasts. This weapon can fundamentally change our Alliance's raiding success, as it is VERY effective on the MT of the raid. The second Thunderfury we will be assembling will go to Titanus of SoA. After that, we will re-evaluate how we will determine Thunderfury loot rights.
