Post subject:  WoW 2.0 addons

When WoW 2.0 came out all the old addons became incompatible, and I put together a "survival kit" with WoW 2.0 compatible addons. Since many people found it to be useful, I thought I'd share the addons that I currently use. If there are any questions about any of the addons feel free to PM me or post here. I feel this is a pretty light-weight package, sitting around 45-50 MB of memory when I play. Of course, feel free to delete any addons you don't want.

Update:

Dec 23/06
-Repackaged the addons with all the addons I currently use.
-I have excluded Auctioneer since it is very buggy. If you want Auctioneer you can get it from their website at http://www.auctioneeraddon.com/. Enable Auctioneer when you need it and disable it when you won't, or else you'll get tons of error popping up.

[Click here to download the addons]

You can also download my saved variables if you want, to save you some time configuring addons. Extract files to ".\WTF\Account\[account name]\[server]\[character name]\SavedVariables\"

This is how my addons look like in-game:
Screenshot 1 - Oh no! Zane is trapped!
Screenshot 2 - Shows Eavesdrop (combat log) and Chronometer (timer bars) in action

The package includes:

ClearFont - Changes the standard font. Read the readme file to learn how to change font.

OmniCC - Shows cooldowns on your buttons.

Ace2 & Libraries - Addons development tools required by all Ace2 addons.

Atlas and AtlasLoot - Maps and loots for instances.

Bagon - Combines your bags into one bag, and also for your bank slots.

ChatLink - Allows you to click on a link in chat to copy it to clipboard.

Chronometer - Combat timer bars. Shows your buffs and opponent's debuffs.

CT MailMod - Included just for the MailMod.

DamageMeters - Shows damge, healing, etc. done by a group or raid. (command: /dm)

eCastingBar - A nicer looking casting bar, also customizable. (command: /ecb)

EquipCompare - When you mouseover an equipment, it'll compare it to what you current wear.

Eavesdrop - A combat log that shows events for you and your target side-by-side.

FuBar (Ace2) - Information toolbar (similar to Titan Panel) with lots of plugins available.
Included plugins: BagFu, BattlegroundFu, ClockFu, DurabilityFu, ExperienceFu, HonorFu, LocationFu, LootTypeFu, MoneyFu, PerformanceFu, VolumeFu

Note: I also included a few textures I created myself for FuBar. They are called Glazed, with different colours.

For more plugins see the Ace2 website. (link at the bottom of this post)

JIM's Cooldown Pulse - Flashes an icon on the screen when a spell finishes it's cooldown.

JIM's Abacus - Automatically positions your minimap icons and allows you to hide any icon. (command: /abacus)

Guild Event Manager - Scheduler for in-game events. (command: /gem)

KLH Threat Meter - Keeps track of threat in a party or raid. (command: /ktm)

La Vendetta Boss Mods- Shows timer bars for boss fights. Also supports BGs, such as cap timers in AV and "time to win" for AB.

Metamap - Makes your map window smaller (adjustable) and draggable, along with other options (e.g. showing unexplored areas).

MobInfo2 - Shows the HP and mana of the targetted mob.

Outfitter - Allows you to create outfits which you can switch between instantly. (commad: /outfitter)

Prat (Ace2) - Allows you to customize your chat window (e.g. renaming channel names, sticky channel, etc).

RatingBuster - Converted hit and crit values to percentages.

Recap - Records combat info, such as DPS, misses, max/avg damage, etc. (commad: /recap)

Scrolling Combat Text - The name says it all. (commad: /sct)

SellValue - Shows the value of an item on its tooltip.

Simple Minimap - Allows you to customize your minimap (hange the shape, drag it around, etc).

StopLFGClick - Stops the LFG window from opening and closing when someone joins/leaves the raid. (fixes a bug that causes lags)

Super Inspect - Allows you to keybind "inspect", and also provides an inspect window with more info.

Trinity Buttons - Overrides the default action bars. Much cleaner and nicer looking.

Trinket Menu- Puts two trinket buttons on your screen for your two trinket slots. Supports cooldown notifications, priority queueing, etc.

X-Perl - Unit frames that override the default ones. (command: /xperl)

Great post Thermoon.

While I am looking forward to the PvP changes, I am dreading having to tweak my UI again. It took me forever to get it how I liked it and now I gotta do it all over again... da well, bring on da new honor system.

Great post, Ther! Thanks!

In the first screenshot, I can see you have a block of what appears to be 10 buttons, three rows high. Is each row accessed with <numberkey>, <CTRL>-<numberkey> and <ALT>-<numberkey>?

I actually have four bars on there, just nothing on the fourth bar yet. :P

I keep all my bindings close to the WASD keys so I can use them in combat without moving my hand too much. So I have things like 1-5, Alt+1-5, Shift+1-5, Alt-Q, ...,Alt-T, etc. I also use two buttons on my mouse for Pummel/Shield Bash and Hamstring. It might not be the best setup, but I'm so used to it that it'll be hard to play any other way.

I'm still looking for an inventory addon similar to All-in-one inventory, where you can replace your bags with a single bag for easier sorting, as well as bank caching. I also need an addon that enabled mouse-wheel scrolling in the chat frame, and something similar to Chatr that will put whispers in a separate window (so you don't miss tells).

For All in one bags I use Bagnon which has a BC port

What I am going to miss right away is Discord, which after reading some of their forums doesnt look to be ready anytime soon.

Thanks Dais, that will work great. :)

edit: Decursive has a new version out on curse-gaming. From what the author says, it doesn't decurse ATM but it does show a list of who needs to be decursed. http://wow.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/3011/decursive-continued/

Check out the WoW 2.0 section of curse-gaming for more addons.

Yeah, I am gonna be screwed without Discord around. The extra buttons being linked to my n52 gamepad and scroll-wheel to custom button sets functionality is gonna cripple me.

Soooooo... can I just download these, extract them, put them in my WoW Addon folder and they'll work? Or will I have to configure some of them?

I've never configured a UI mod, and I don't think I'd know where to start.

Angelus: Yeah, I loved the discord mods, and I'm sad that it won't be ready for this patch. The author said it'll be ready for sure in time for TBC, which is over a month away! In the meantime I'm using Trinity buttons instead of DAB, although it's not nearly as nice.

Angus: Most of them require no configuration. Drop Trinity Buttons as that will require maybe 5-10 mins of config time, and if you're happy with the default action bars then there is no reason to get it.

eCastingBar requires config since you need to drag the bars to places you want them, and type /ecb to lock and hide anchors, etc. But It'll take just 1 min or less.

Everything else should be fine as they are. Of course you can configure them to your liking, but you don't really need to. If you need help don't be afraid to ask here.

Still need cosmos and xperl to work correctly. Problem with x-perl is when you target something the original warcraft symbol comes up as well as the xperl one. I love cosmos for the timer and number of bars I can have. I must say blizz really screwed the pooch on this one i'm thinking about hanging it up if the add ons dont get straightened out soon.

While I love the wonderfulfeatures of FuBar... every time I use it, it gives me some bad video lag. Not sure what that is all about. I'm kinda stuck using Titan. :(

Are these add-ons working right now, or did TBC break them?

These should still be working post BC as they were v2.x and BC is on that same 2.x lua language for the mods. Just make sure you mod has been updated to 2.0.5 and you are good to go fer sure.
