| Post subject: | The Ring of Valor - An RP event on Maelstrom |
The Ring of Valor is an RP event that some folks on Maelstrom have done a couple times now. For those that don't know, especially our Alliance brothers and sisters, the Ring of Valor is a small arena Orgrimmar, with no real known purpose to the game. A few good folks on Maelstrom have put together a couple nights now of matchups that feature historic battles of Azeroth as well as some awesome duels of some of the best known names of our server. The first event was a huge success. One of the people horde side documented it and made an outstanding movie. He's now finishing up the 2nd movie. Both are here: http://www.vimeo.com/1142653 Well actually, just the teaser for number 2 is up, but I'd recommend that you watch the first. It's truly outstanding with a couple of truly epic duels and the editing is first rate. |

if you look close you might find Crodlar in the crowd, I was at most of that first event...I particularly liked the lvl 1 gnomes vs the lvl 1 taurens. |

You were there Crod? Must have been pretty cool. The mage v mage fight was awesome too. Not very close but still epic when you ice block the incoming AP/POM/Pyro. Invictus (the gnome mage that lost) happens to be one of the most recognizable people on the server. He's a huge RPer and mover of the alliance. Pretty much organizes a weekly raid on horde bosses. The next vid should be out soon. I can't wait to see it. |

yeah, but the video is edited...there was some downtime between matches and a bunch of jerks mocking RP'ers. Plus since it was in Ogrimar, the Alliance that peacefully showed up to RP kept getting ganked. |

Too bad really but there are asshats everywhere. |
