i did a cool quest today in the Rrytt Trail on krashyyyk and recieved the sought after new proton carbine as a reward. its a very nice weapon with awesome stats and has cold elemental damage as a bonus. (850+ max damage, 1.2 speed, 520+ dps, 84 special cost and 90 cold damage) This carbine is very similar to my mark III e11 i had picked up for a 100k from a weaponsmith but is much more fun to use with its additional cold damage and really sleek looking too
Carl the wookie at the beginning of the Rrytt Trail gave me the proton carbine quest. I did it in conjunction with the the main trail quest -in which you have to travel on foot thru the very long Rytt trail while dodging bandits and fighting off new rotw mobs. It was like running a gauntlet lol Carl's quest had me find and hunt beasts somewhere along the trail. gotta love the hunt! the main quest is really more for a small group. since i was solo'ing it, i only got passed the 3rd level canopy and then eventually became overwhelmed and died, but not before i qualified for the proton carbine! hehe along the trail i also picked up an unfinished quest that will award a rare melee weapon.
we should get an Avian group together and do this trail! it has great new mobs to fight, breathtaking scenery and rare -but useful- loot!
