i got a station access pass going, so swg is free so i thought i would come back and have a look around. started a jedi named sekra, the new starter game was very cool. So far i am enjoying myself, and its a nice diversion from eq2.
thought i would stop by the forum and say hello and i miss u guys.

That's why they made Jedi Knight...wish those bastards would just go play that.

I canceled my station pass after the NGE, especially since i wasn't playing EQ2 much any more. How is it? Are you taking a break? How's the guild over there?

i am actually having some fun, there r only 9 classes now and jedi is 1 of them, also u now get a second character slot.

they made a new starting instance designed to get you to lvl 10 or so and introduces space flight. the have included a bunch more of the characters form the movies in the initial quest line when u get to planet.

its my second day now playing and i am up to lvl22 with over 150k cash and i am just working the initial quest line(jabba heard the empire is lookin for me, so now he wants me to work for him). kinda cool i am into it so far

problem is i see big player cities but with only a few vendors.


EQ2 is going great, maxed out bless awhile ago. got my wiz and illusionist up quite high now as well even started a tank. the guild is going great as well we had another merge got a new bunch of great players there. we are able to raid most things now. just dont want to burn out

I played SWG for a brief moment there with the NGE but recently bailed out again.

Very glad to here EQII is going well for you. I played that game for a bit and really liked it. If it wasn't for WoW Im sure a lot of Avians would be there now.

if you are looking for another game in the near future there are about a half dozen of us giving EVE: Online a good run...also Roma Victor is about 6 months out as well.

I quit SWG, the NGE finally killed the whole thing for me. I honestly was planning on leaving before TOOW expansion, but stayed and gave it a shot and suprisingly found fun again in the game by playing the mustafar quests. Heck Moge showed up with Maili again and we hooked up for a fun grind run like old times. ....then NGE showed up like a Category 5 hurricane and killed the game..not just the mechanics of the game, but most importantly it destroyed the community. Servers are now empty, guilds are empty, player cities are empty, starports are empty and cantinas are empty. It destroyed my mall vendor business. I really doubt within 6 months enough new people will show up to pop levels it once used to be as SOE hopes will happen. The first CU made people leave..lots of people. Despite that, the remaining community was still large and soon filled up with new players buying the Total Experience...BARCS showed up for us vets to buy hehe But the exodus after NGE is very serious. The game is dead and some rumor will be shut down soon. Alot of remaining or new people like the new game changes from NGE, but unless you like playing SWG all by yourself with not much of a community, these new changes really dont mean anything cause you can play PS2 SW games with much the same entertainment value and save $15 per month
