Hi, I got the KotOR a month ago and I have finished it about five or six times now.

Can anyone please com with some differences and similarities (if there are any) about the two games?

Good questions. Game design and priorities are extremely important, both from a financial standpoint and in keeping your players' attention.

I think the top differences were:

Star wars feel - In KotoR, I definately felt immersed in the SW universe. The continuous struggle between light/dark was always present and "in-your-face".

Polish - SWG was very buggy upon release (and even a year after). These bugs became like pebbles in the mind's eye that distroyed continuity and chaffed at good senses. KotoR was very polished and felt complete.

Quests - As also shown in WoW, good quest-writing is EXTREMELY important. SWG quests lacked good writing, meaningfullness, or relevance to the game world. After the 20th, I never even looked at the text again. The quests in WoW and KotoR are FUN and engaging.

I'm excited to try out KotoR2 to see the differences there.

Differences: KoToR is a single player game with a limited number of well written storylines that you follow

SWG: an open ended MMO that takes place in the SW universe where you can do whatever you feel like, with very little set in stone or creative quest lines... a sandbox for you to play in if you will...

Thanks.

I thought more about the game itself in interface, combat interface, menues and how realistic SW:G is compared to KotOR. As realistic as Star Wars can become, like from one to ten one is arcade and ten is simulation.

If we set Battlefront to 1 (Yup, too arcade for me) and KotOR to 5 where would the SW:G be?

And don't forget the question about the menues, and interface.
