Haha awesome! Looks much better.

And to think, I almost assumed this would be possible in player-cities.

If Obo can do it just by messing with the texture files, I'm sure the devs can slip in a few lines of code and make it happen.

Looking good by the way.

You don't want the whole planet to be paved right ? :)

And yes it looks far better paved...

Very city-esque looking. Nice work!

agreed it does. Seems all you ould have to do is switch the texture within City Limits. Would be very cool if they did.

That looks awesome!

People walking by my desk applauded the new look of SWG and were a bit disappointed that this was just a client-side change.

Would it be possible to start a thread on the official forums, showing the devs how easy it would be to make their game better? Giving the major the power to change texture within city limits or something (craftable concrete slab placeable in cities, whatever) sould not be too hard.

Someone show SOE how to make player cities look good!

Looks good, but now it needs more greenbelts. Give me some grass here and there.

As Flyoc said, I just paved an entire planet. :)
It all depends on how easy it would be to make it so that the terrain texture can change with a dynamic spawn on top of it.

I've had a look at the terrain files before, and there are what are like ascii maps in them to define the terrain. I'll have to look at them again to see how the texture is defined.

It'd probably look best if all the tiles around a building were that paved color, while everything else within city limits is a non-checkered asphalt color...

You're right, maybe a post to the devs would help?

Heh, I think you could say that :)

Without any names, of course.

Edward
thinks a more prominent place for the pics on the Dev forums would be good
