Just poking around with my Jedi. If all goes well I will bring Moge back into play sometime over the weekend.

For now I will try and get my JTL skills up as I am pretty close to 4333.

well thanks to Obbo I got Maili up to 3332. We need a larger group to kill the 3333 mission gunboat.

It was cool being back ingame and seeing the changes. I kinda felt a little behind and need to do some reading to get caught up on stuff. The new GCW stuff is great. Everyone runs around in Combatant status now. Im an Imp so Rebel NPCs are Red to me but Rebel players cannot attack me when I kill Rebel NPCs, very nice.

One thing that I didnt like was the Lag. Running around Tatooine Cities I got crazy lag. My settings are all down but I get lag when I am on my Bike. Maybe this has always been the case - Im sure it has - but coming from 2 lag free games and lag at all is very unresting.

I cant wait till I get settled in a bit more. Maybe start up some loot hunting and such. Not sure when/if Ill fire up Moge but for now its fun to tinker around with my Jedi.

Its funny though. I totally forgot all my Key commands. They where so natural to me once and now I litterally have to hunt and peck at keys to see what they do. Also, it took months in EQII and WoW to finally get myself to hit <Enter> before I typed, now I have to unlearn what I learned to go back to the SWG chat system.

One other thing. It really is strange how SWG really is a completely Solo game. I call out for help on missions and I get nothing. trade is silent, Planet is silent. WoW and EQII are such group based games it is very odd going back into what seems to be a strickly Solo experience. Even with the CU coming I dont know if SWG will be able to relearn their players into true group play.

Well, there has always been a modal chat option (where you have to hit enter first), but they just added a "EQ2 style" interface option too.

After playing EQ2 a bit, I went back to SWG and found that my fingers seem to have forgotten how to play it. I had to switch to the EQ2 keymap in order to play. Wierd, since I played SWG for over a year, and EQ2 for only a few days.

You'd soon get used to the keys again though. I remember in the summer when the only thing I could remember how to do was to chat! I had to keep asking people how to do things!

It would be great to get some group hunting sessions going again.

Hello from the distant Past.

So SWG is pretty much a Solo's paradice now? Bummer. That means I won't be getting back invoved. *sniffle*. The solo'ing was what made me die out in the first place. I built a healer in City of Heroes to force myself into groups, and even though I still go AWOL for a few months from it, its kept my interet better.

Well, maybe someday I'll go crazy (again), buy all the expansions, and log back in if it becomes more group play again. *shrug*

I suppose where the other MMORPGs are all going team-based, it makes sence for somebody to go Solo based. *shrug*

I'll try to remember to check back in once in a blue sun...

Miss ya guys.

wow hay man!

Actually SWG is turning Team Based. We have a Combat Upgrade coming in a few weeks that will make groups a must for high end content and really even medium level stuff.

Also, if you pre-order the Rage of the Wookies expansion you get the Jump to Lightspeed expansion free so you will save 20 bucks.

Glad to see you around again been far to long.

Yeah, I loved that basement. :)

I was afraid to leave lest we lost all our goodies...

I'm still debating grabbing the Rage download. I dunno. I love the world, but have trouble finding stuff in it that I liked to do on a regular basis...
