So clearly not. I am shocked that the CU is going Live. They where really starting to make progress. 2-3 more weeks and they litterally would have had it great.

Now they dont have the chance to make drastic tweaks on Live.

...I cannot say I have to high hopes for this anymore.

Well my accounts are canceled again for now. They are still good til the first week of next month, but I am not going to hang around if they do push a faulty upgrade again. If things do work out with the CU I will renew them when the time is up on the subscription, if not then I plan on picking up guildwars which will be released this week and give it a shot, at least I wont have monthly bills from it.

15 hours from now it will be up.

Glad I have to work tomorrow. The wait would kill me.

Bottom line. I love the CU. I hate the bugs.

I see what they are doing and I really like about 90% of it. But the is a ton of bugs and balance to make. I think professions are 100-150% better now, I really do. But the Lvl system makes grinding pretty hard.

I can kill a lvl 85 Rancor and have it be a fun battle. But it that worth a 3 minute downtime to heal? Even using Stims the downtime is to great.

I played quite a lot tonight which was my first time in a few days. I have to say, I like what I saw it was fun and engaging with fast new combat but slow post combat.

It will be an interesting transition.

I have all the resources I need to make some nice armor with Prima Layers. I just need a smuggler to sell me 10k worth of FP so I can buy the Rebel Schematics.

Ill be on tonight and will start my factories making Cores and such. Should have my first armor made by morning.

I played a TKM yesterday on TC3. They are pretty fun. It is hard to find a profession that is a good combo as you need Armor and a weapon. I found CM has some nice DOTs and Doc is a nice boost in Healing.

Im Dloading the patch now. Looks to be about 13 minutes or so. All depends on how bad the Servers are being pounded so start it early and you will have a shorter wait time.

well the stupid Devs thought it would be a good idea to toss their schedule out the window (sound familiar). They brought down every server a few hours ago and are now loading CU on every server at once. Why they couldn't just stick to thier plan is a mystery.

So now their boards are just getting hammered!

I pity anyone trying to start off from scratch with this. The grind will be such a pain in the arse.
I repsec'd to Master Commando (which I already had) and Rifles 4444. I didn't have enough elite respec points to get the Master box so I am going to have to grind it out. That's 1 Million rifles xp I have to get.

With my current template I am at level 76, with the max being 80. If I go out into the wild looking for things to kill 90% of the stuff I find are grey cons, which mean I got no XP for killing them. The rest are either red or purple, which I means I don't have a chance.

So you have to get missions, and even then are limited to one or two levels if you want to make and realistic progress.
Even if you are just going for blue cons, which are a level or two below you, you still have to sit it out for a bit if you don't have medic.

I really don't like these level damage modifiers. The major factor in determing the outcome is simply the difference in level and everything else takes a back seat.
