You guys like the stories so here is mine. I set out this morning to do my 4434 quest solo and judging from my fierce battle for my previous skill I knew that I would most likely die. Jumping into my super fast and agile Grievous Starfigher I set off.

As I approach the mission my targets come into view. As they do I know that I am sunk as I cycle through the 10 lvl 4 Tie Fighters, Tie Adv and Interceptors now 5k away I seriously debate aborting the mission until I get backup. "what the hell" I say, I reinforced my front shields and overcharged my capacitor and dove in.

The initial wave hit me like a scene from RotJ 10 fighters blazing at me ripping past in a wave of fire. My front shield are totally gone and with my ship only having 90k mass I opted to go for no front armor to save space a decision I am now grossly regretting. I tap my droid to pull power from the rear shields to reinforce the front and whip around on my first target.

I know I am faster that any Tie Fighter or Tie Adv so I go for them first. I blast 2 Ties out of the sky before any of the other 8 ships lock on. My luck didn't hold long though as Ties fly in strict formations and they found my 6 and opened up, all 8 of them. My choice to pull power from my rear shields was a bad one. My rear shields are blown and 50% of my rear armor. I tap my droid for emergency shields. My weapons are disabled as all power is routed to my shields. My only option now is a strong defense. I know Im faster than them so I just need to out fly them till my blasters come back online.

I punch the boosters and turn at full throttle to get behind the TIEs. My ship is so fast and agile that I have little problems staying behind my attackers. My weapons return and I open up. Even with 8 fighters out there all equal to my own skills I make quick and rather fun work of them.

the battle is over but I know I am not lucky enough for that to be the end. Sure enough my comm buzzes and Im sent to another waypoint.

Shields returning but with no front armor and only 50% rear armor I know I am in trouble. As I near my mission my heart sinks, 6 TIEs of various type and a Lambda Shuttle. My mission, to destroy the Lambda.

I grit my teeth knowing this is a long shot and dive in. I go straight for the Lambda. It is slow and lumbers to react to my speed I wheel in behind it and blast away knocking out its weapons but not before I destroys my front shields. I'm in luck though, the escorts have not yet moved in behind me - oh wait yes they have. I erupt in fire and quickly my shields and armor are gone. I have seconds to live. My systems are starting to take direct hits, power down to 50% shields gone, armor gone and blasters are starting to fade.

If Im going out then Im going out big! I blast the lambda with all I have and in a huge explosion it goes up. I turn to face my attackers and just as I do I get message that my mission is complete and to get out of there. As I plot a fast course to anywhere but here I take evasive maneuvers until my Hyper drive does its thing. With only 50% to engines and blaster I still manage to take out 2 TIEs before I hyper to safety.

What a Battle! If I had any other ship there is no way I would have lived. Just goes to show that speed and agility often times rule over slower targets. Getting repairs I only wonder what my next mission will be.

I wonder how many we're tempting here. Let's get a few more stories in and they might actually start returning!

Nice story btw!

I disagree. These are the kinds of stories that definitely belong here. They aren't actual In-Character RP, or even third person RP, stories, but Gameplay Diaries.

I would definitely like to see more of these. Keep it up guys.

Ok, let's find those pictures :D

I've got a good one of my X-wing spraying off plumes of black smoke somewhere, I'll have to submit it here at some point.

Now that evil Obo. Even for you. :P
Now come on! He's proud of his ship. He cares for it and loves it and makes sure it sleeps well and....

Uhm. I love my car.

All in all, the ship is special and in his eyes it is his own.

Though I would prefer one with a astromech mount.

iJasonT, be proud of your ship. It's lousy in a certain point of view, but I like it.

...I don't have a ship.

how can you guys be so mean! I love my little ship. Yes it is 'lookingly challenged' (made tha word up can you tell?). But it it mine.

Decay freaks me out, but I think my chassic still hasn't decayed any. I should track it closer. Can anyone give me a brief explanation of Decay and when it happens?

You decay when you die, or to be more specific I think you decay more when you do a full repair. When you are asking for repairs, go 25%, 25%, 25%, 25%, 50%, 50% 100%, this should lessen the decay.

The decay is on your hitpoints. I think your components lose stats as they decay.

it seems odd that in time no one will own a RotW ship becuase they are a one shot deal and decay so over time no one will have one.

/crys over my favorite ship going bye bye.

You mean you can't just do the quest a second time?

nope, all the quests for new ships are a one time thing. I know there where people getting multiple Grievous ships but Im not sure if that was fixed or not.

First point: Jason I'm o your side.

Second: What!!!? You can't keep them?

Hell I'm only gonna use them on special occassions then. Where there is 100% chance of victory.

But as far as I understand it they are tradeable so if lucky you can buy a "new" one from another.

Can see the auctions comming.

You should make a note for devs in that case.

Some ofyou could use the veteran reward that makes the ship non decay. I think there where such a thing among them when I read it.
