I think a certain Bothan Smuggler is going to be visiting the galaxy from time to time in the next month ....

Gonna reup my account for a month... see the sites, see whats what...

I miss space, so I am gonna do ALOT of flying....

I have a serious desire to roleplay my smuggling escapades in space (yeah, I have been watching ALOT of Firefly...)

No, it doesn't have to do with WoW at all really....

I really want to do some RP of my own in space. Something I have been wanting to do since I got my Firefly DVD's...

I have always loved the life of the smuggler, and even though the game doesn't really support it... I can pretend and fly my ship around doing whatever I want...

Its a freedom that I miss.

This won't cut into any WoW play time, as I won't be doing anything demanding in SWG... just having a fun RP escape...

I have an idea...

How about we make our own roleplaying?

Try to make some life in it. We find someother PA who thinks the GCW-plot has fallen to peices and make some arrangements.
Like finding a rebel-PA and a Imp-PA and put ourselves where we want to.

Give out some parameters like the Rebels have to protect the NPC-freighters around Tatooine near the spacestation and the imps to attack those.

I'm sure you got some better ideas but basicly making our own capture the flag and deatmatch battles.

Keeping scores so we can determin a victor of the match and also give us some training in some combat tactics in space. Now I like the space senarios so I don't know how to make the ground senarios but it should be difficult.

much to the contrary for me. I am looking into selling my Jedi account. I am pretty resolved in my feelings that SWG is dead to me.

Although, the true reasonI have not yet sold it is becuase somewhere, deep inside me I know...There is another...

I am enjoying the space mining, and have my Yacht decked out like I like it now...

I love the space flight and feel, I don't even worry about the ground game.

I probably be in for long, but its a fun diversion to go fly and blast some asteroids...

I still read the SWG forums, and my old guild forums, and every now and then I have an urge to reactivate an account. But I quickly change my mind each time (I've been down this road twice before). It seems I catch myself looking back at the game with rose colored glasses, and remember a game and community that is long gone. Sadness more than any other emotion reigns supreme when I think about SWG. Good luck with your roleplaying; there are a few people there still that will RP. Most are just combat combat combat. SOE really should have made an RP server. Why they didn't, I have no idea.

How about using your yacht as a target for the empire and the rebels or neutrals should be there to protect? Make a price for the player with the highest score or something like that.

It might only be combat and all but it is still Imps vs. Rebels. Besides we could make a story out of it and have one gamer to be there as a narator.



There is my friend... I've seen it and I know it is there.

So that is why I still search. I haven't givin up my dream. Wanna find it, will find it.

I logged in today to go fly around some. I took off and flew around in my Yacht and was having fun. I landed on Talus to visit old AC but as I returned to the starport to take off I got an error.

"Error Terminal not available"

What! I asked around and people said "oh yeah thats a bug. Just wait for the Dev to restart the sector and all is well" They said if it is a Yacht just delete it and claim a new one. I did.

Shaking off that wierd bug I landed on Dath to hunt around. Again returning I got the same bug. This terminal on this planet was also bugged. If I had my fighter there it would be stuck there thus making JTL all but unplayable. I /quit and will not log in again.

Seriously people, this isn't a game. It's so far removed from what is acceptable play that people just shrug off this massive issues becuase they have become so numbed by them.

Thinking about SWG makes me sad. They should sell the rights for SWG2 to Blizzard.
