Very nice video. Those beginning images really brought back memories

Remember when:
remember when we did Harv runs as a guild
remember building out first house
remember Avian City v1.0
remember Deadalus (time enough has past to be funny)
remember that group Fambaa hunt while we waited for Deadalus to fork over the deed
remember your first creature mount
remember just sitting around in camps
remember the Yak resource project (what was that called?)
remember that day we all got out first bikes, we just drove around Avian City for hours
remember the fireworks show to end all fireworks shows
remember Avian City day where people would open up shops all day
remember Avian City drawings for prizes
remember when Arindel was the Shizz armorsmith in the galaxy
remember bewa the super grinder
remember our first cantina
remember Cyrus' Hideout
remember Mantisons smuggler group and missions
remember our PA Hall prisoner
remember group harvesting by hand with guards standing by
remember pa hall rooftop sessions
...going old school in 3,2,1
remember the Kole documents
remember the SWG dev team care package
remember back when Cyrus was over 2k posts
remember the speculation threads
remember joining avain two years before the damned game even came out
remember Vor's stories

Those are the memories that I have of SWG. Those are the times that I'll keep.

Yeah Rom and DF have some old school pics of the early days. We all have the crafter apron on, and everyone is in line to give me ore.

LOL and who was the one who got stuck in the PA hall basement? After we built the PA hall, we were giving away all the harvester and factory deeds to members. All the deeds were in the basement of the PA hall. They were really a sight to see, knowing how much money they represented. A bug deleted the turbo lift controls, and one of our members was stuck in the basement for something like a week. The CSRs said they could warp him out, but he would not go, fearing we would somehow loose the deeds.

The guy trapped in the basement began with a "G".

I fondly remember the days when we had little to no gear and we felt powerful getting our first upgraded pistol and heading out as a group to patrol and set up the harvesters.

Remember when we thought the galaxy was dangerous?
Does anyone recall me asking for resources at all?

Fondly. :)

Ah, the good ol' days of ADORI. I remember one week of controlling something like 6 different people's characters running around and getting resources and placing Heavy harvesters everywhere. Or when we started that huge DoR database for tracking waypoints... :)

My wife almost cried last night when I showed her that video. She said "I remember that you loved that game so much, and you'd play it 8 hours a day. You used to call me from work and have me do your turns for you."

I also point you to this thread, titled "My faith is restored! SWG comes through!" by Moge: http://www.avian-gamers.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9067

Now I want to go home and make sure I still have all my old screenies from back in the day.

Things I will always remember:
- hand harvesting minerals during PA Hall creation project
- someone locked in basement (can't recall name)
- hunting Faambas (those huge beasts on Naboo) with sheer non-stop fear of death (think I hunted those with Baslo a bunch)
- Avian City (v1) days with gambling, parties and duels
- Imperial group stealing Avian City's site on Naboo on official cities launch day (boy was I pissed)
- first Krayt hunt
- first death from a jedi (I was a lowly rifleman at the time)
- making my first lightsaber
- Avian duels/fights in the battlegrounds when they existed

So many fond memories, yet I can't help feel there should be more happening still...

I think I lost most if not all my screens from SWG...they may be on my old machine but I doubt it...its too bad too had loads...

Still got everything else...DS stuff and DT stuff and alot of archived forum topics...Armorsmith stuff to...

-Group hunts when we waited around to the point that we lost buffs....
-Geo Cave hunt when we scored the ackley...
-putzing around AC cause their was nothing better to do...
-Factory making loads of fireworks and using up 2 tool bars to set em all off.
-Cyrus, Roms, and Manti's Houses
-The often bugged story arc missions with Obbo and others...
-ICAI - Restarting on test server to relive the good old pre-release days
-Wermas giving me my first blaster and first FWG
-Cantina
-Hunting with Len and getting killed repeatedly
-Learning to craft armor from Aeric
-My first Million
-My first 10 million
-My first 50 million
-My first 100 million
-RP with Cyrus
-All the poor people who brought my armor and contributed to my boredom and spree of Auction purchases of cool junk

Note: Dumin was the PA blackmailer...Daedalus was removed for the following...(found the old BoD report I wrote up for the DS..

Total of recommended points to be removed: 13 points
3 counts Negative Representation (-3 pts)
5 counts Member Aggression (-10 pts)

Also Daedelus Rendarious and Lazerus Mengsk’s and Mantizor Thrax was the former External Security Officer of The CONSORTIUM are all the same person...

You read some of the stuff this guy did and he was just a nutcase

We were on Naboo for release.

Coronet was our Beta Stronghold and there might have been a contingent of us that had shops on C-Net (I was among that group Aeric vo-Telon)

The song was perfect for it. The screens and so on.

Caught myself crying...

Untill about two months ago I was the latest online member of Avian after waiting two years being on the forums...

I still remember some small stuff.

-My first post (b4 the first crackdown 2 years ago) about reverse engineering. Going backwards I mean. About making a Jedi Starfighter (ala Ep. II) by breaking down an A-Wing...
-Me whining because you guys where so slow to upload screenies of the game.
-My first meeting with an Avian member online: Gui-Jan.. Becoming a member...
-My first letter in the game saying I have potential to become FS
-My first X-wing
-Our speculations...
-Former members...
-Former companies that was made b4 beta...
-My application... Written on a cruiseship while I was having vacation at the Mediterrainian

I would have made this post sticky

BTW how many of you remembers "Talmari Yards"? I still got access to the forum. Even though it closed down When Armin left us, because of the lack of spacial combat (b4 JtL)...

Consortium was the guild we dooked it out with a little bit before the game even started. I can't remember the name of the Imps on Naboo that screwed us over though.

The imp town that griefed Avian City on naboo was called Empire United or something close to that. Cant recall if that was their guilds name as well. I think they used more than one imp guild for their citizens. Their city lasted only a few weeks and then perished due to lack of interest from its citizens lol I was so angry at their childishness that I kept tabs on their town's progress everytime I went the naboo bunker. I remember laughing when it finally faded from the map, meanwhile AC on talus was still going strong

Jesus, the memories... wow...

I was in the third group of Beta invites. Back in the Closed, old school, nothing but dirt Beta where we would shoot a parasol stuck in the sand.

We would chat in the launchpad chat room for HOURS waiting for the server to come up to test for 20 minutes... then /bug for about an hour afterwards.

I remember the Beta PA Hall outside of Coronet.

I remember our first house, our first PA Hall and the "Drama" of that whole thing...

Our first hunt of an NPC Jedi that TOTALLY owned about 16 of us if I remember right... on Naboo...

I remember my store behind the hill away from Avian City V1.0 on Naboo, and trying to be a true merchant, buy from crafters and sell to everyone else. Back in the early days.

I remember actually having "Industrialist" XP in my xp list, hehe.

I remember when I quit the crafting life for commando.

I remember grinding out xp on Lok hunting those monkey / gorillas with my flamethrower of DOOM !!!! (Trogdor for those that were there)

I remember setting the Avian record for most damage in one shot with a flamecone3 on a Rancor that was knocked down.... man that pissed of Lenny (the old record holder)...

I remember setting up my Smuggler's Den and giving missions to folks. Man, that could have been so cool.

I remember Talon running the Casino on Naboo....

I remember dreaming of actually having a ranch where we could raise BE'd animals, and real farms, not these harv farm things.

Man, the things we hoped for.... such possibilities...

Was that Talon's casino on Naboo? Or WarRedds? That was such a fun time.

I could do that run from Theed to Avian City (#1) with my eyes closed.

Yeah, I guess it was WarRedd's, and Talon worked the door or something like that...

Yeah, the trip from the spaceport to AC V1.0 was ingrained in my head for a long time....

The Avian Nest was run by myself and WarRedd. That was the greatest time I had playing swg, we only made like a net profit of 1k credits but it was so much fun.

-I could paint you a picture of the run from karen to AC
-geting in-game a few hours after launch and being put right to work hand mining north of theed
-getting into beta 3 days before it closed and doing nothing cept run around
-wanting to do very bad things to Dumin, what a jerk with a god complex
-the guy stuck in the basement
-coming back during school breaks to Talus and getting a mount and then a bike
-cranking out massive amounts of really good "Critical" vibroclaws that I couldnt give away
