Post subject: | Roma Victor sub-guild proposal |
Quote: A committee of 3 Avian Members must bring a petition to the Board of Directors requesting the creation of the sub guild. That petition must have 6 other names on it, for member participation in this sub guild. If six members cannot be found, the existing petitioners my submit the petition and request an exception from the Board of Directors.
If granted existence, that committee of 3 will then be responsible for discussing and solidifying, however they see fit, the structure of the Wing's government. That Committee of 3 will only maintain leadership until a permanent form of leadership is decided upon, approved by the BoD, and instituted. This method of Wing creation will be written into the Avian Gamers Network Charter. As asked in the EVE thread, here is the RV proposal. /sign |

And we'll need a name. So get your creative juices flowing, thinking caps squarely on your head, and all that other jazz school teachers say that never makes any sense. Some easy one's and others I think I've over heard(read). Avian Merchantile House Avian The Avian Society |

I don't think anyone could do it justice. Kind of like if anyone wanted to do a MMO of the Star Wars universe... |

Ha ha, good one! Oh, yeah. I loved the Dune books. I think I'm one of the only ones who lilked the last three better than the frist three. I'd totally play a Bene Geserit. |

I know many will be traveling and visiting family this weekend, but would anyone like to set up a time, maybe on Monday (many have that day off work), to all get in game, meet up, and help each other get going? |

I've love to but (admittedly as half expected) it doesn't seem to run on my machine. It goes as far as loading the world up and then CTD (with a nice Microsith dialog box asking if I want to send diagnostic info to MS). I haven't actually done any searching on solutions yet (enjoying EVE too much) but as it's actually getting so far into the game itself, I don't think it's a problem of too low spec machine. If all esle fails, I'll likely be upgrading my machine once I get my pay from the work I'm doing this holiday.

Double-check your video and sound card drivers are current as well as your installation of DirectX 9.0c. DX was the trick for me. |

Well, since about 10 people showed up at the office today, I've had a bit of free time. How's this for a House Avian logo? http://www.imagedump.com/pics/362247.jpg I took a picture of some slate and an Atreides crest. I had to change the birds color (it was blue) and emboss it into the slate. |

From reading about your vid card in those reviews, I would suspect that's the culprit. |

Just an FYI. This Sub-guild has been approved by the Board of Directors. Private forums have been set up as well. To gain access please see the Announcement at the top of this forum. The Provisional Leadership of this new Sub-Guild now has the task of creating the official Wing Government structure, and then putting in place the Official Leadership. Please see Antan, X2-PB, regarding this process, as he is the current Provisional Leader. |
