Anyone want to get together at 8pm tonight?

I'll join up to the operation if it's already in progress. Will it be in Aice? if so, I'll get myself to that system.

Would it be worthwhile to get a Cruiser to put 4 lasers into the effort? If so, I may need to ask for a loan. (I'm good for it, trust me :D )

I'm up for it. I'll give Moniker a break and do some hauling, now that I have my Itty III.

I didn't see her online, but hopefully she'll leave some for us.

I just got up a little bit ago. I'll be signing on soon for the Op. Just got some things to do first.

Server is coming down for a quick bounce.
When it's back up I'll be in ready to mine away.

Arindel, make sure you look carefully at the CPU and power requirements for lasers on the cruiser you pick! I was really excited to get my cruiser, then found out the Destroyer could fit much more mining capacity if I got Electronics 3.

Im in for tonight. I'll bring Moge to start and if (once) Angus gets overwhelmed I'll log Moniker on for some additional hauling.

I'd get there sooner but without known protection against Rats I usually do not enter any <0.8 space for mining.

Moge has 2 strip miners and 3 drones so I can rip up a roid pretty well.

I'm planning on making it (if CINCHaus doesn't schedule me for a gym appointment). I'll have my destroyer with one gun always active. I can switch to two if needed, and the TCO-ers should have plenty of protection. So, we should be relatively rat-safe.

Yeah, problem is I learned recently after moving into an apartment that 'relatively' is a long a** way from 'completely' when talking about rats.

If a destoryer can get 3-4 mining lasers, I'll head in that direction, but I'll have Cruiser 2 by 8:15 pm...

Guess, I should have asked first. But, the reality is that I'd need to borrow money to get fitted into a cruiser and it seems likely, I'll just be in the frigate for tonight..

And Angus, we took in 500K metals. I didn't sell it in case you wanted the raw materails. Plus, the current location isn't the most ideal place to sell (is for me as I have no ability to move it out yet).

I think I saw 1.7 ISK per in a jump 3, 1.8 in a jump 8.

I'll be on, I can help haul if need be. Arindel, I can arrange for a bridge loan if you'd like :)

Arindel, I can get 5 EP-S lasers on a destroyer (with a ton of training), which have a *bit* more yield than 3 ML2s on a Crusier... but, you might get a 20% yield bonus with the cruiser skill, plus the use of a few drones, so I'd suggest you go that way.

If Daddy Dbakke isn't on to do the loan, ping me and I'll hooka brotha up.

I think that yield bonus is race based right? I don't remember seeing that for the minmatar rupture. Secondly, at least for the minmatar destroyer / cruiser analysis the destroyer costs about 1 million ISK versus over 6 million for the cruiser. Just some additional context to what Yak was saying...

I think each race has 1 cruiser set up with mining bonuses.

Not sure all about what you gusy are saying.

I didn't see a cruiser with a mining bonus to it, but 4 lasers has to be better than 2. the only destroyer I saw had a CPU of 170. the cruiser had 325 and cost about 3.75 million (plus equipment).

it might not be the most ideal miner and I'll have to check before I make the purchase to see what my choices could be. With drones and potential missiles, I wonder if it can so mining with some supporting roles with rats.

And thanks guys for the loans. A good single session or 2 should get it repaid :)

If you have the stuff refined, just wait until I get in-game and I'll take care of hauling it somewhere to get good prices on it.

And Moge, as far as the rats go, as long as you are mining with LA, you should be fine. She's got some rat-killing missiles and she's not afraid to use them!

And I look for escuses to use em!

Unfortunatly I wwent to do some mining, but there is a horrible problem with my connection that is slowing to the point where I was frozen for over 5 minutes while exiting a station then even longer docking again.

I'm hoping it will clear up soon so I can get out and mine tho. I can feel the Omber slipping away.

doh! Others having the same problems? Maybe a cache issue? Do you use that handy-dandy eve-cache-clearer? Can't find the link right now, curses!

I think it's just that my internet is shared with local bussinesses or something cause during bussiness hours it's slow.

But if you find the link to the EVE cache clearer I'll give it a go. :)

Anyone know if the Gallente Vexor is a Cruiser Level 2 - skill ship?

This looks like the one to get for mining/cruiser (for gallente)

Answered my own question
Cruiser 2, 270 CPU and I think the drones get a 10% increase in mining capacity.

I can either come in my hauler or bring my cruiser fully gunned out and wreck pirates. I can handle all the pirates I meet in .5 space easy, just not when I am loaded out for mining.
