man, I got in and played around a bit.

I tried to be slick and bypass the tutorial...holy cow, the interface really needs a little explaining...was not smart to skip tutorial.

Big mistake was buying the wrong shield booster. I couldn't fit it, then i found out about the beginner booster, but already threw my loot on the one that was 6000. Bah, then I couldn't initiate a chat with anyone cause I couldn't afford some 100 whatever fee to chat! bah!

8) But it does remind me of freelancer, I'm not sure i like the flight interface yet, I liked having the steering of the mouse in freelancer.

If i jump on again, hopefully i'll be able to hook up and chat a bit about what's going on.

hehe, yeah the tutorial is important.

Give us the name of your character and we'll get you some funds.

You can join a channel (click on the "Channels & Mailing List" button on the left bar).

The channel is under "Player Channels" as "Avian/TCO". Shouldn't be a cost.

If you bought the wrong item, when you're in station, right click on it and say "reprocess". Sell all the minerals, and you'll make most of your money back.

That works, too. 80% is about what you should expect both ways.

Don't worry, once you start mining with us, you'll pull in a million+ ISK in two hours.

you need to be a Corp member to join Avian/TCO

Restart the tutorial. F12 I think. Go through that. In almost every other game you can skip the tutorial but now in Eve. I was lost for about 2 days after the tutorial, but you do slowly start getting the hang of it.

As for cash. Dont worry about blowing it when you start. There is not much that you can buy, and use, that will cost you to much. Within a few days of joining up with us you'll be making a a few hundred thousand ISK a day and then millions.

I can solo mine (with two characters) and make about 4mil a day in about 2-3 hours.

dang! I just wanted to get on and chat a bit about the game while IN the game with you guys...I flew to Duripant VII moon 6 base. Damn if I couldn't find a way to apply, after screwin around in the base for about 30 mins, even with local help I couldn't get an app in. I left cause I figured I'd do something less complicated, like creating my own programming language. :?

When docked, on the right hand side of the screen, there are 3 tabs, "Guests", "Agents" and "Offices". Click on offices and scroll down the list until you find out Corp, click on the apply button.

I feel your pain.

It gets much easier after a few days...very overwhelming at first...and hard to get good information.

Once you get into corp chat, it all gets better.
