lesson learned. Don't go to the bathroom when you are solo mining in Enedore! I returned to find 2 rats makes swiss cheese of me in my barge. Before I could warp out I was dead. I usually have no problems with Rats but these 2 where very strong. Took maybe 4 hits to loose my shields, from there andother 4 and I was dead. Oh well, got 2mil from insurance and had mined 10mil in Omber so I guess I broke even for the night. I get my BattleCruiser tomorrow night so Im not going to rebuy my barge just yet if at all. |

Were they Shadow Serpentis? From what I read they are the rare spawn of Serpentis belt rats that drop good loot. Did you have any drones? |

yeah I think they where. I did have drones but becuase the always bump my hauler I usually just deploy them when I see rats pop. Lesson learned again I guess. Would make since they where a rare spawn as they hit twice as hard as anything else Id come up against. I would regularly take out 3-4 rats with no problems. These guys, I didnt stand a chance against. |

You should go back and see if they are still there. I've read they can drop BPOs and named parts, that would get a few million on the 'escrow market'. |

bummer wish I'd known. I went back today but there where only Spies there and had basic loot. Oh well. |

Yeah shadow serp rats are not all that rare either. You do enough mining and you see em fairly often. Hence why Taka allways insists on someone picking up all the loot cans. Sometimes you can get some really nice stuff in a can even in a roid belt. -LA |

This is an Offical Post to all Rats and would be Moge killers! Step back! As I now fly the BattleCruiser Brutix! 6 mining II Lasers (512m3 per minute) 150mm rail 10mn AB 2 Large Shield Extenders (5,500 shield) 2 cargo extender I 3 8.03% CPU 5 Medium Scout Drones This thing is one tough mining machine. It out mines my Barge by almost 200m3 per 3min cycle. For fun I took it to a .6 field and let 3 rats chew on it and after 2 minutes they almost made a 30% dent in my shields as I stood there and laughed as I launched my drones. It's big, it's bad and I love it. Once i get a bit more skill I'll drop the 150mm rail and the 10mn AB for 2x Shild Invulnerability I at which point this ship will be a damn near unbeatable shield tank. LET THE OMBER SPAWN BEGIN! |
