I was thinking of the best use of making Gate Insta's and this is all I can come up with.

Create a point in the middle of deadspace as a "marshalling location" (common point of reference for all jumps within a system). From that point make an insta 15km past the gate of your choice (and mark it as the "GATE: From System - To System X Insta". The downside is you need 2 warps to get through any gate, but you don't need to make them direction specific as they will all originate from the "marshalling location" which should be pretty quiet?

Probably only needed for slow ships and low sec areas? Is there a better way other than creating a specifc from one place to another?

Necro post.

As I spend more and more time thinking about Instas Id like to hear more ideas like this. Also I would love to get my hands on some kind of insta database. I mean, someone has to have these things set up already. :wink:

You can buy instas for entire regions now. I'll look in my ingame bookmarks but there is a corp that sells these. I have every bookmark for everyshore, Sinq, essense and Verge.

Problem is is that CCP recently nerfed the coping of bookmarks. You used to be able to drag and drop and number of instas for easy trading. Now you can only copy 5 at a time. This is hugely taxing to the person doing the copying.

All my bookmarks are:

[gate name] --> [gate name]
ALL --> station name
Station name --> [gate name]

no need to put the system becuase only bookmarks for which ever system you are in will come up on a right click. Adding the system name (Aice) will only muddy the text.

The bookmarks I got from my new corp are:
[gate name] <-- [gate name]
ALL --> Station Name

It is a little different but I like it beucase you just look for where you are going and it groups all possible locations to get there from.

Kyp's company sells bookmarks for most regions. But they're expensive.

His characters are: Leno WeEda / Locin WeEda

All my insta's for a system are based on a dead space area that I always call "Central"

So for Vifraveart (my first area to operate in lo sec)

I have Vifraveart Central.

Vifravaert Central to Allamote SG

Vifravaert Central to Ladister SG

Then I set up a couple of safe spots in dead space.

Vifravaert SAFE 1
Vifravaert SAFE 2

Since I am dealing with the same pirate assholes all the time, I mix up my jumps out of harms way, not ALWAYS going to central first.

Ill be heading into ladister soon to do the same thing, and finally wind up in Aesche and do the same thing. Thats where my corp hangs out right now. They give me instas as well.
