To begin playing EVE again. How many of us are still in-game here? I don't think I ever got very far. Is it worth starting up again? I'd have to re-learn how to play. |

Just in the past couple weeks I dropped WoW and picked up Eve. I'm going the miner route and I'm having fun. I don't feel the need to play for long stretches like I did with other games. That's a real good thing since with family, school and work I just don't have that luxury right now. I'm a member of the TCO corp in-game. Apparently they're working towards making a private station but the details are really forthcoming. I suspect that's because I don't have access to their private forums yet. In any case, I liked your reminiscing about the glory days of really pulling together and working on a project. I'd like to do that with TCO and hope to get a little more info from them about what I can do aside from "grind Gallente" faction. Give it a shot, Cetera, casual play seems to work pretty well in this game. ![]() |

Yeah, TCO started their new project just as I moved to 0.0. I need to set up a jump clone up so I can help with that project. I was looking for large scale teamwork like that, but over the 4 or so months I was with TCO nothing was being done. To jump start my character they asked me to sign up for profit sharing. I did, but the program seemed to die without any explanation. After a while I had to look elsewhere, they weren’t doing anything but grinding missions. IMHO Eve has much more to offer than mission grinding. TCO has great people all around, I guess I got in at a very bad time for them. I was pretty disappointed at their lack of group activity. However now Amy has my curiosity again. Right now I joined Dreamscape, Moge’s corp. We are part of the Serenity Fallen alliance and operate out of UEJX-G in the Deklein region. I have only been with this corp a few weeks, but I am loving 0.0 life. The alliance is everywhere and I feel very safe. However I still protect myself by having safe spots assigned, and align my ships for a quick escape. Those are the small things that attract me to 0.0 life. Oh, and the ISK is great. I can tank any rat spawn that comes up, and the bounty on their heads is sweet. Usually they attack in groups of four. Last night the bounty on just one “Gurista” was over 1 million ISK, but I usually get that much for the whole group. I usually mine the Crokite in the area, killing rats is like a bonus. I have not sold any Crokite yet, I need to get much more before asking Moge to refine it. Maybe I can bring a load of minerals to TCO, and Amy. My game time has been weird. I squeeze in a couple hours here and there before Danyale gets off work. As of yet, I have not participated in any corp stuff. But Dreamscape seems to do a lot together. I will know more when I have time to participate. |

Yes, it's true, we are finally going to build a station in high sec. It recently became clear that with the increasingly long lines to get into labs, it would be greatly benificial for us to build our own labs to research blueprints especially with so many new ones recently added to the game. The station will be little more than a laboratory tapped to a control tower and corporate hanger, but we also might slap on a manufacturing facility tho that may not be nessissary with so many factories near by. We have the funds to build the station, what we are aiming for now is getting the corp standing with the Gallente faction high enough to place the station. Not as easy at it sounds. Plus we will need regular shipments of many different materials just to fuel the station. And this station will give us a distinct advantage in mining in the system we plan to set up in, so hopefully that, combined with the constant need for supplies will give our corporation many more reasons to work together. -LA |
