IIRC you dont have to be in a game to be a member of the Avian family, and if I'm wrong someone will correct me.

OK I think most of you have seen me around for a while, and I am definately planning on throwing myself in with you guys in PotBS. Should I put in an application now? Or should I wait until we are in game? I would prefer to do this now but if you HAVE to be actively playing a game with the crew, I understand. How should I approach this since Ive been lurking your forums as a regular for the past 18 months? ie Im not exactly a n00b around here but I haven't played a game under the Avian banner either? Thoughts? |

Technically each wing can/will have it's won application process (though it nevers hurts to have one and I think Moge recommended Xenus to put one in). There's really no restrictions on membership (except obvious ones like not trying to sell Viagra/... to people   )

agree. Even though you have been around a while and are an automatic yes, put in an application and we can cram it through. |

just a a little more detail Aranarth, applications can be for the Avian population in general or a specific game as outlined in our new charter. Once we have the committee finalized I would recommend submitting an app to them which would cover you in the event of any other game we decide to venture out into, until then Indv. wings handle apps. Quote: 2.6) Applications
Prospective members of Avian may apply through the Wings according to the Wings' charters. Prospective members not applying through a Wing may submit an application to the Committee, which shall be approved or denied through a majority vote. New members shall be granted access to the Private Issues board, and be able to run for and vote in elections. |

Err, just to further clarify that, the intent of that bit was that you are approved for all Avian games whether you go through a particular Wing or through the (currently non-existent) Committee. Best bets for being official are to hang out here until we figure out the Pirates Wing application process, then go through that. |
