It looks like they were talking about an adventurer class up to around a year ago.
Anyone see if Adventurer = Privateer or Free-trader?

Some of the most I've read about class attributes.

adventurers are privateers, the name just got changed(i think), and i would leave the moving of goods to traders, they would be more efficient


its quite easy, privateers(adventurers) are the common folk, private ship owners with a letter of marque so they can attack thier nations enemy

i would expect freetraders to have noone to very little problems with entering foreign ports aswell, its the navy that would have problems

Found the answer to my own question:
looks like it was about a year ago that they split the adventurer profession into the Freetrader and Privateer professions.
Adventurer meant 'not bound to Navy'.
