WoW did not have a large crafting element to it either and there were a large number of Avians that got into that game. If the gameplay is tight, and things to do as a guild, I can see an Avian resurgence. At least I hope so.

Given that most of it will be instanced (as I understand it) I don't think lag will be much of a problem.

Probably true, if they keep the social gathering places as load-in instances, otherwise I was imagining Coronet on a good day...

I was as well for quite awhile, then for some reason I got to the next step. I dont know if it was the way I was doing it or what but I noticed I was getting emails saying my account had changed every time I got stuck in the loop so I went into "My Account" along the top of the page and at the bottom it has the tester radio button that can be checked, it then takes you through the same process as before but it only took a couple tries and I made it through.

I was having the same problem also and mine wouldn't complete the scan of my computer using IE8 but when I tried it with Firefox like someone suggested it went right through.

lol well I was just reading comments over on the site and some was having just as much trouble with Firefox as IE8.. Someone said after they made sure IE8 was in compatible mode it worked like a charm.

Yeah - I turned on compatability view under tools and the site gave me scanning software to load.

OK Mark it's time we stopped being the good guys all the time and started feeding that dark spark <that resides in all of us> until it becomes a raging flame that consumes all light as we become Mighty Sith Warriors...

P.S- New write up on Sith Warrior on TOR today....

As much as I'd like to, I don't think I'll be signing up to test this. I really don't have the time these days.

Isn't this a sign of many avian getting old?
A good part of us has been around for about eight years now (seven years in my case) and I remember when we jumped into every beta we could, like "all or nothing"...

Well there are a couple of issues here. The first is that I value my sleep and playing games will inevitably mean I will lose track of time and lose sleep. The second is that it requires my other computer which does not reside in my current location and it would be far too much effort to move it at the moment!

Yeah, possibly. Though, I promise, if I had time to play, I would have signed up days ago (and gone to the effort of moving my other PC, On the other hand, I could still hold out that they'll do a Linux version!).

I'm not old! I totally want to PLAY! I'm sure most of us are just dealing with too many responsiblities. Plus spending quality time with my family and trying to do my job better uses a lot of my "free" time!

When I joined almost 8 years ago I wasn't old but everything changes (and gets better with) age :P

I've been going back and reading the developer blogs on classes - sounds too good to be true - but it won't stop me from building a new machine for this game.

It seems as we've all grown older, new game quality has gone down and our expectations have gone up. Not a good mix when most of the game market is composed of clones that simply rehash tired formulas. I wouldn't say I'm cautious, just jaded :)

That would be awesome :)

Ok, I'll see if I can get it scanned next weekend. I'll upload it somewhere and put access details in a thread in the private forum.

Ok maybe I misunderstood then, I saw this and assumed you guys already did a private forum for this game. (Bold by me)

After having a continuous WoW subscription from the day it opened  (aaaaand I was a Beta tester   ), it says a lot that SW:TOR has me as interested as it does. And yes, I am definitely signed up for the beta!
