The reaction that we've had, and a lot of people playing it have had -- we've done a lot of consumer testing and there's a lot more to go -- but the common reaction we get from our fans when we play it, or the testers, ourselves, and our teams, is that frankly once you've tried it, you just can't go back. You don't want to try other MMOs anymore. I think that's what imbuing the game with a sense of heroic purpose and identity achieves.

Wow, Bioware makes a bold statement about TOR. You can see the entire 4 page interview at Gamasutra. They discuss Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 3, and SW:TOR.

I found this quote after reading the whole interveiw:

Quote:
[...]when you look at a game as ambitious as Star Wars: The Old Republic, the amount of content in it is probably equivalent to all the content from prior BioWare games combined.

Heard this from every other MMO ever launched. Believe when it I see it.

Color me skeptical still.

I'm still cautiously optimistic. If it turns out I'm disappointed by the crafting but the game is awesome, I'll probably play for a good while. If the crafting is awesome but the game sucks, then I'll probably play nearly forever. If the crafting is so-so, and the game is so-so, and we all get tired of it after a bit, I'm really going to try to push for a big Avian involvement in Fallen Earth. The crafting there is pretty cool. Not quite as innovative as SWG was with the tweaking and customizing, but still very involved, very elaborate, and a lot of fun.
