Star Wars: The Old Republic Patch 1.2 Starts to Deploy Next Week

James Ohlen wrote:
Well, Star Wars: The Old Republic is already out, so I won't plug the gameplay because I am sure everyone already knows what that is. For 2012 we really want players to, going back to the subscription model, feel like they're getting their money's worth. So the scope of our game updates in 2012 is going to be unimaginable. You're going to see so many changes and additions to the Star Wars Universe. It's going to be impressive. We have our Update 1.2 coming in the next week and then after that it's going to continue to roll out month after month. It's exciting

1.2 on Thursday, 1GB DL. Purchase your speeder bikes (not skill, just bikes) before they go up in price and crystals before they disappear (available via crafters post patch).

Hello everyone!

We will be bringing down servers for eight hours on April 12th, 2012 from 12:01AM CDT (April 11th, 10:01PM PDT/1:01AM EDT/6:01AM BST/7:01AM CEST/3:01PM AEST) until 8AM CDT (6AM PDT/9AM EDT/2PM BST/3PM CEST/11PM AEST) in order to deploy Game Update 1.2 - Legacy. All game servers will be offline during this period. SWTOR.com will be available. This maintenance is expected to take no more than eight hours, but could be extended.

Please note the timing on this maintenance period, which is beginning earlier than usual.

Earn new rewards and build your family tree with the expanded Legacy System, explore Lost Island, a new Flashpoint, challenge the new Operation: Explosive Conflict, and face off against your foes (or your allies) in Novare Coast, a new Warzone. You can also experience new daily missions on Corellia, customize your User Interface, create a new Guild Bank for your guild, and more! Learn more about Game Update 1.2 here!

After this maintenance is over, restart the game launcher to patch to Game Update 1.2. This patch will be up to approximately 1Gb in size, depending on when you last updated the game.

1.2 is now live and I have unlocked precisely ... nothing!

The family tree is cool and makes me want to make more characters.

I've also discovered that the UI customisation outputs as an XML file, which can be edited. I edited the global scale to greater than allowed when editing in game and the profile loaded without problems. Looked weird though!

EDIT: Oh, and I can confirm, C2 now only speaks when you click on him!

Yeah, I'm just reading that thread.

I think it was supposed to be an apology for no Ranked Warzones but they put out a very poorly worded press release that basically said level 50s are their most valued customers!

I have unlocked "Companion Dance" due to Social II. Looks like that is all I have unlocked.

I like the UI customization, each item has its own set of options so there is a lot you can do. Would like more features like snap to, group, and align left/right/center, but I think the system is great so far. I also like the unify armor feature. Wish it worked for companions, Dorn needs help. The Legacy family tree and unlocks look well done.
