I'm guessing pretty close to all other games?
With Warrior Plate, Rogue Leather, Mage Cloth does that mean Clerics can wear Chain?

Yes and no. The restrictions aren't very significant from what I can tell. Since you can mix classes, similar to DDO, you can basically have a Rogue with Plate, or a Mage with Chain, by taking on the appropriate soul. At least I believe that's how it works. I haven't dabbled outside of the Rogue souls yet.

I think Armor works in the following order Warrior, Cleric, Rogue, Mage - you can wear any armor that falls at your level or below.

Plate - Warrior
Chain - Cleric
Leather - Rogue
Cloth - Mage

You'll notice IG your leather armor says Warrior, Cleric, Rogue on it and Chain says Warrior, Cleric. The main reason I can see is that different stats are emphasised on different armor types - Warrior is strength, endurance, Rogue is Strength Dexterity etc... In a few instances it may make sense for a warrior to wear lower armor if they don't need the protection for the increase in attribute modifiers...

Yes, you are correct. I completely forgot about that. It is based completely on your original choice when creating your character, not your souls.

Thanks for the correction DF.
