Star Wars: Revelations

Movie's website and download link

Apparently, three years work was invested into this! I'm pulling the BitTorrents of the DVD .iso files right now. I'll post something once I've watched them but I have to say I'm intrigued.

Apologies if this has been posted here already.

I watched the Revelations...it wasn't so so bad, just seemed like a bunch of decent CGI guys got together, but they forgot to get decent actors. Still a pretty good fan films never-the-less.

I found this other short though at AtomFilms, it's called "Sith Apprentice"
It has it's moments, but it's basically just a rip of "The Apprentice". It's a good waste of 10 mins, if you wanna look.

This is also available on iFilms.com.

I liked it. Atleast the writing was as good as Lucas. lol.

The SFX were pretty good for an independent film too.

For an independent film it was good.

Tecnically it was at the top. The actors and the dialogue could be better and the story and the jedi concept was vague.

But all in all something I liked to see.

I tell you waht, fanboys need to start learning how to do sound work, and not just CG on their PCs. The sound quality, sound level, sound design, etc, was atrocious. Really, really bad. The mixing levels weren't very well done, dialoge gets lost completely in parts, and a MIDI score? Ugh. Ugh. A million times ugh.

But yeah, the CG was pretty cool. All the main actors were chubby, which was kinda fun and different (obviously fanboys/girls all). There were parts that it looked really top notch, and other where it didn't look so great. Overall, though, I'd say it has the best effects yet in a fan film.

Overall, not a bad effort. I haven't had a chance to watch the last 15 minutes or so. I wish it dealt less with spin-offs of EU spinoffs, but what can you do? Troops is still my favorite fan-film, and there are a couple others I really like too, but this one was good.
