Years ago there was a great catastrophe that befell the world. From the pits of hell and darkness the Burning Legion sprang forth from of the Well of Eternity. Their rot and corruption spread through the various lands that were not ready to deal with their unholy wrath. The species that represent the Horde rallied to their cause figuring the enemy of my enemy is my friend. As the wars clashed and the sides redefined the boundaries of our once peaceful world, a group of similarly minded adventures banded together to form The Sentinels of Avian.

A being does not choose to be a Sentinel. It is not a religion or secular group of like minded people. A Sentinel is part a link between nature and the affairs of men. Only in times of great need will a Sentinel take up arms against a common foe. Unity among Sentinel’s is a rare event and we live in rare times when the world can be torn asunder and become a host for the abolitions that now walk our planet and their allies who believe they can carve out a niche existence from those who would dominate and twist the manner of all life.

As we continue to level and get more characters at 60, it seems natural that many of us will want to experiment with different classes/work on our alts (people like Zorrukk/commitment issues :) tend to have many alts). For the most part many of our higher level characters leveled in small groups, solo or pickup groups and might want to have the satisfaction of having a good Avian group.

My suggestion is that any person interested in participating in an all Avian alt group reply to this post (with characters, class, current levels) in the hopes that we can break up into 3-5 (perhaps more depending on the situation) teams. Each team can then decide when and how they want to get together. You will probably need to mention you commitment to playing n hours per week.

Basic outlines:
  • All groups plan their party so they can function as is (without the need of pickup people whenever possible)
  • Plan or Schedule playing days/times
  • Start in the same area (so everyone can work on the same quest)
  • Perhaps create a thread in the private forums where you can discuss your progress. In the event that a party member missed a quest or series of quests, that person(s) can make up the quest prior to the next session or the team can opt to redo the quests.
  • Have Fun
  • Drink more beer for those people of legal age

Currently, I have roran (paladin 35) in a group with (Gudsvenn) Jeger, Titanus (Jagar), Manni (Mantison), and Vognar (Xerex). Arindel pretty much leveled solo for a great part of his first 60 levels (more out of being in the midle of the upper end pack than want). The group dynamics are vastly different, full of fun, but little challenge.

To date, I think we pretty much zerg everything in sight with little difficulty. As we get higher, I'm sure we will encounter more trouble and might eventually wipe.

I'm all for a static group! It's only my wonky available gaming time that screws things up for me.

Alts:
Milo (27 rogue) I play him a fair bit, solo or pugs
Deck (20 hunter) I play him a little, just enough to eventually ding master Blacksmith
Expliro (5 mage)
Malixiro (7 warlock)
Druliro (8 druid)
Hakiro (11 warrior)

Yes, I know I have a bunch of lowbies but wow...look at all those opportunities for grouping! Wink

Available gaming time:
Weekdays: 10:00 pm - 2:00 am eastern (possibly a little earlier)
Weekends: meh...highly variable aside from the late at night timeframe listed for weekdays

I'd be all for participating in a static group.

Hell, I made Durnion, my Paladin, to adventure with the Gudsven/Titanus group, but they rapidly shot past me :(

Now that group is the same level range as my main, Sergi the level 35 hunter! (for the next couple weeks, at least, before they outlevel me again).

Anyway, I've got a similar schedule to yours, Rocklar. I get home from work between 9:30 and 10pm CST and play for about 4 or 5 hours, so if you want to pair up and adventure I'm all for that.

I've got the following characters...
Sergi (Hunter 35)
Durnion (Paladin 19)
Kaelysa (Warrior 14)

I also wouldn't have an issue doing another character either. Alliance or Horde.

Alts, man I have a lot of them.

Bolg (Rogue - Main) 50
Spencer (Pally) 17
Whuppiz (Mage) 16
Daumen (Druid) 15
Isabellie (Warlock) 12
Winterforge (Warrior) 8

Not to mention my Horde chars
Virrok (Shaman) 24
Golga (Priest) 16

My availability is all over the place though. I'd love to be able to commit a time segment, but I know I'll just miss it.

/Yes, I have a Hunter on Shadow Moon

:P

I actually don't have as many as some people.

Zerina 42 priest -- I am focusing on reaching 60 with this one next
Zack 22 paladin -- needs to get to lvl 35 for BS'ing
Zeak 20 rogue -- LW with a skill of 225 but on the back burner for now
Cheapcindy 1 rogue -- selling mule and extra bank space

HORDE
Zeven 23 warlock

SHADOWMOON
Zorrukk 8 Tauren warrior

will update playing times shortly

I have said it before and I'll say it again...I got my fill of STV with Zorrukk so I am avoiding that zone as much as possible. The only chain there I didn't do was Bloodsail Buccaneers. But with Zerina being a priest I'll travel there for XP and help out fellow Avians with their quests there.

Okay.

The Titanus/Manni/Vognar/Roran/Gudsvenn group is a great group, And it's nice to have a group of people to consistently level with. Also, we have the classes Avian will need in the future. We're having a great tiome and we are becoming more efficient as time goes by.

I have the beginnings of another Group, and these two have similar playing times. Sergi and Milo should start a group. I know others are on later in the evening (after 10 CST) and it would benefit these guys as well.

So, Get to forming other Static groups. this type of activity is what is going to keep us together. We have a small army of folks in the mid thirties, and alot of them are classes that Avian desperately needs.

STOP SOLOING!!! GET A GROUP! and get on teamspeak!

Through YOUR continued Cooperation with each other and the constant referrals, we'll get to do the things we want that much quicker.

Thanks for commenting Jeg, because I was planning on expressing my disappointment about the lack of response and wondering the reason for it?

(Here's your out). Are you all waiting to get a character to level 60 before commiting to a group? The idea here, is we (as Avians) need to learn how to cooperate as a group for higher end content.

the best way to do that is start early. Even if you don't plan to start one soon, please let us know what interest you have. Nothing like starting a group up from the ground up too ;)

I Don't think there is One member of Avian that doesn't have an Alt.

Cymon (50 Priest)
Cyrus (35 Warlock)
Cyrock (21 Hunter)
Cyanne (13 Pally)

I would not mind starting a new rogue out. So if anyone wants to start a new character I am down with that.

Available gaming time:
Weekdays: No time, until after the first week of August
Weekend: 10:00 AM - 10PM
