I just got my orders today, Im going to Ft Hood Texas! Not too bad I got family in Arkansas so its not that far. I should be there before the end of the year. I leave Korea mid November so Ill get to spend Thanksgiving with my family but I wont be able to spend christmas with them . Anyone know the area, I know its near Killeen, Tx 76544 (my year in the post office I can spout off zip codes like crazy )

One thing that Im not too sure of is sometime after I arrive could be months to a year or 2 the unit I will be with is going to Ft Carson, Colorado. Not a big cold weather guy growing up in the south. Maybe Ill have to try skiing on snow instead of water. If anyone knows anything about these places or surrounding areas that would be much appreciated.

ofcourse if they change me over to the other unit thats stationed in Hood Ill be in Iraq by the beginning of the year, but that dosnt look likely right now, but still a possibility.

North of San Antiono, and Austin, south of Dallas/Fort Worth. Looks like a nice place. I have never been there, but I have been to several cities around it.
