I finally upgrades my old crappy cell phone for a motoRazr v3m. The look and feel of my new phone is great. One thing that is just killing me though is that the default for viewing contacts is view Alpha List not by groups.

My old phone defaulted to a groups view. This phone I have to menu select>filter contacts>groups>select groups. This is insane. Why even have groups?

Like most anyone else and have a lot of numbers in my phone. I like my groups. I need my groups. I live by my groups. I spent an hour trying to change the default contacts list to groups but there is no option. If I had known this prior I would never have paid for this damnedable phone.

Am I being to picky? I mean this thing plays movies (who cares) MP3s (who cares) 'on demand' (who cares) checks email (who cares) connects to the web (who cares) and a bunch of (who cares). One would think you could freak'n alter the way you view your contacts. I mean that IS why you buy a phone right? to CONTACT people?

I have a POS "free with 2 year agreement" phone, but when I look at these new phones there are a few things that seem like they would be useful.

The music player might be nice, as long as the phone is small enough to strap to my arm at the gym. I have to admit that I'm a little befuddled by the new "exciting" concept of downloading movies to a cell phone. Who wants to watch a film on a pixilated 1.5 inch screen?

The cell phone games I can totally dig. Waiting in line at the post office or the DMV they can be a great little bordom killer. Stay away from that Bauldurs Gate one though... it's total crap. Orcs and Elves is pretty good. Hmmm, this sounds like the start of another thread....

I agree Jason, I have a Razr myself, upgraded from a Nokia a few months ago. The hold contact list is rediculous in my opinion I had better options on the nokia
