Thanks Tony. Much to my dismay, I found out today my DVR didn't record it last night. Sci-Fi to the rescue. And if I'm lucky, maybe Sci-Fi will have another Chupacabras movie

Oh i also forgot to mention that on NBC.com they run little mini comics for yet more backstory on the characters. Pretty cool.

I missed this weeks episode and there doesn't appear to be a replay on the Sci-Fi channel :(

Anyone know a way I can catch up with this latest episode or if there is a replay coming up?

You can download them for 1.99 on iTunes.

Thanks, this is the option I went with.

You have to believe in fate for this show as it is all interconnected somehow...especially that last scene.

Another good episode last night. This appears to be where Peter get's his scar (which seems starnge for a guy who should be able to heal himself now, but it might be only at the tiem that the injury occurs?)

it will be interesting to see how that scene plays out.

Yeah... that episode was good in so many ways. This show keeps beating my expectations.

I watched the first four streaming on some Chinese website but it looks like it got cut from there, and I couldn't find a reliable looking torrent, so I had to turn to iTunes. I can't watch it on NBC either :(
Fun stuff, I'm only up to 10 now so can't hang out in this thread quite yet.

Ok, got caught up. But you guys are terrible with names, so I have no idea who you're talking about half the time. The Haitian is a little confusing, it seems like he was dampening some powers, but now all he does is take people's memories. Claire's dad shouldn't have any powers of his own, and I don't think he works for the government, they call it "The Company." I actually thought that Mr. Linderman was going to be Claire's dad's boss. Linderman is the biggest connection so far, Nikki and DL have both worked for (and against) him, Matt (mind-reading cop) just got involved with him by protecting the fat dude with the diamonds, Nathan and Peter's father was a lawyer for him and Nathan is getting support from him, and Hiro just stole the sword from him. It seems likely that he will be related to The Company somehow.
I'm wondering how many powers Peter is supposed to have now. He's shown Nathan's flying, Claire's regeneration, Isaac's future drawing, Matt's mind-reading (when Matt was there), and invisibility from Claude, and he met future and present Hiro so he should be able to do that. Apparently he may have picked up radioactivity from Ted in jail in Texas? And then, Sylar, who uses telekinesis mostly, which Peter showed. But Sylar should now also have perfect memory from Charlie, melting stuff from Zane, super-hearing and wasn't there a frozen corpse at the crime scene when we first see Matt? Seems like an awful lot.
BTW, most of the Japanese is written ok but pronounced pretty badly. The only person that seems to be a Japanese native is Hiro's sister. Checking Wikipedia, it looks like Hiro himself was born in Japan but moved to America at the age of 6, and his friend Ando is actually Korean. George Takei does manageably, but his enforcer guy had terrible pronunciation. Claire's dad did reasonably I guess. I love how much Japanese there is, but I wonder if that's part of the reason they're not showing it here yet.

Love the Japanese insight! I'm sure that I'm not the only one who had no idea if they were correct or not. Thanks for the cool post.

Anyone else finding it more and more difficult to stay interested in shows now that the 4-6 week break seems to be the norm? I was a huge Lost fan, but between the long breaks and the excessive every 7 minute commercial breaks I have a hard time watching it anymore (unless it's on the dvr). Heroes is starting down the same path for me too.

I only watch things that are already taped to the DVR, commercials are like the American Civil War... only for poor people who can't afford $6 a month. The only tricky part is when my kids at school come in and start talking about last night's episode that I haven't watched yet.

I do agree with you though, I'm not all that happy with these shortened seasons. House does the same thing, they will take like 4 weeks off from time to time. It's not quite the same because there is less emphasis on the huge story arcs (though there are some) and more about the individual episode's case.

These breaks add nothing to the show or season... in fact, they take away from it and push me toward other entertainment.

I've got plenty to do in the meantime. The breaks don't bother me at all. would I love to watch the season straight through, hell yeah.

The reality is the sweeps (May) will determine if we get another season (which we should anyhow given the apparent sucvcess of the show). Most shows go by this, except the ones looking to pick up additional viewership. It's just a reality of the way networks operate.

Noty much I can do about it, except write in and tell them my displeasure. So, I just move along. Guess I'm ok with delayed gratification

24 has no wack ass breaks. Jack Bauer keeps the networks in check!

Thye even stack multiple shoes too, I love 24 as well :). their season pretty much demands 24 shows and they start in January, so they do a better job at keeping it together.

Do I prefer that format, hell yeah. Just that I really have no choice inm the matter, so why gte bothered by it.

5 days till the "last 5 episodes". What ever the hell that means. I

wonder what this show will become once they stop introducing new characters and powers. I mean, will the plot become like the x-men, fighting mutant-racism, founding a school and start battling emerging threats together every new season? I just can't see how this will work and still keep the "realistic" vibe that the show has. I'll still watch it if it's an x-men clone, but I'll be a little dissappointed. At least Sylar is a hell of a lot scarier than Magneto.

They still have hundreds of people that can/will develop powers (if you saw the list of scrolling people in (forget doctor from India)'s list.

Also, there seems to be some hint at collaboration between several current members. Such as Hior and Peter (Peter seems to tbe the leader and was hard to recognize because his scar wasnt present...I imagine that is what is happening at the end of the last episode...though you'd think he could heal through it...but maybe that can only happen when you have that power active when the damage starts?).

There's still alot of story to be told because several people know about the secret and how it came about. Plus, the writers probably didn't think beyond the first season as you never know how the program will be received. I think they've done an incredible job at moving the plot along without revealing too many direct answers (get's you more onvovled with thinking about what is happening :) )

somehow, I can't see them letting Psylar like...he's too powerful now and crazy as hell.

As an FYI, for some reason I think Hiro's power is unique and probably not able to be absorbed by Peter (and hence Psylar). Though there has to be some connection as he was immune to Hiro's affect or Hiro can crete bubbles around certain people (not freezing them in time).
