Anybody know how one could take audio clips from a DVD? I'm trying to make a collection of Family Guy songs. I have both DVD sets, but not the technological knowledge. :(

Thanks.

Easiest way:

-Plug the audio out from your DVD player into the audio-in on your computer sound card (you might need to get an RCA->1/8 microphone mini-plug).
-Play the DVD
-Hit record on a WAV editor (you can use the M$ default)
-Save the WAV (it'll be pretty big)
-Use an MP3 program that can change WAVs to MP3s... many good ones out there, I think www.winamp.com still does this (though you might need a plugin)

PS - Beware the RIAA...

Rom, another Family Guy fan!!! My wife and I just finished watching volume one and once we get through the second season DVD set of Sex and the City, we're going to go for Family Guy volume two! Peter's become my role model! ;)

This question is semi related, I have Adobe Premiere and I am trying to get video off DVDs. I have had no luck so far, is this even possible to do. Hopefully there is somebody out there who knows enough about video editing to help me out.
Thanks

Video isn't too easy to get off of a DVD, unless you use those programs you can't buy anywhere...

Take a look at http://www.doom9.org , they got very much info on stuff like this.

And you need a license to drive a car, but not to become a father :P.

Guess who's the role model soon?

Oh, I'm a HUGE Family Guy fan! Before the DVDs came out I had every episode on my hard drive (even the one that was banned.)

I don't know anything about that one! Knowing that show, I can only imagine! Where'd you find it?

I got it off of Kazaa. It wasn't easy to find I'll tell you that. The episode is called, "Once Upon a Weinstein." The FOX execs didn't want to air it because it was all about Judaism and since religion is such a touchy subject, they didn't want to have any part of it. Its really not that bad, in fact the FG creator (Seth McFarlane) sent copies of the show to a bunch of Rabbis and they all sent FOX letters giving it their go-ahead. Still, no budge from FOX.

That episode is at the end of the Volume 2 DVDs though so we win in the end!
