I want to plan a hunt next saturday but really dont feel like reading through all the posts again to see if there already is an event in the making on that day.

I think it's a good idea to add an easy-to-view event calendar of some sorts to this forum.
Obo, can you pull this off?

An idea that I've been playing around with is to display events in the little info window up there, that the DoI can update. This could perhaps display the next five events, and would tie into a single page that would show all events.

But I won't be doing anything on it til I get back to my dev machine.

Threads get lost.. It would be much nicer if we actually had links like that on our starting page. that would add some functionaity to it, as right now there is nothing of importance there.

Well it is stickied and it is listed on my Important Links thread.

But having something on the main page is a good idea. Or maybe in the box up top. Something to that effect.
