Never joined, never will. I'd fail the medical so I don't have a chance on getting in. Don't really fancy it anyway. But good luck to you.

Would that be the Danish military, then? Take care.

First of all, Greenland does not have a military. So i'll be joining the Danish. I am specialised in tactic warfare. Not much, limited to tank battles and ship battle. Learned it while playing 3 dimensional tactic with my friends who also likes starwars.
Going into the Dansh International Brigade so I'll propably end up in Irak, Kosovo, Afganistan or Sudan. So I'll meet some soliers from other countries.

Planning on when finished military in 10 twenty years I'll get back to greenland helping Greenland making it's military, since the polititians are talking about indepence from Denmark.

This goes along with my theory that the western world is better equipped militarily than any of these 3rd world countries specifically on account of video games. I've never been trained on how to operate anything like an M1A Battletank or an Apache Helicopter, but I could probably pick it up in minutes on account of the fact that I've fought in virtual combat with both.

We look forward to hearing from you as soon as you get back. The devs might have all the bugs worked out of SWG by then (and maybe even the space expansion will be added). :P

I used to spend time at the local netcafé, but not anymore since it's too expencive.
Me and my friends played battlefield 1942 and when we the Desert Combat beta-mod installed we got crazy. Then I began making tactics about how to work with the difference weapons.
Two weeks after I was pulled in to the elitegroup of the netcafé. Specialised in using sniper and apache/Mi-24d hind. "The eye in the sky" I was called. When i was shot down I used my binocular to give targets for the artillery.
When the month was over, I had doubled the scores.
The UH-60 can carry standard 5 passagengers one gunner and one pilot. I made it possible to carry 4 additional passagers. Placed them on top of the chopper, the the could use their own weapons at the same time.

Just som,e small things.

I imagine the controls on an Apache helicopter are a little more complicated than using the A, S, D, W buttons. :P

I feel much like Hans Solo.
Han didn't know his parents, but I know mine. That's the difference.
Han educated himself with help from Dewlanna. I learned reading when I was 4 and a half. Han learned thing by feel. So did I (and still do) by not thinking about books, but logic and sence.
han joined the Military Academy in Carida. I'm joining military.
Han was kicked out (I hope not, but will propably do :-P
Han became a rebel.
I am a rebel by heart. Ask my father.

Congrats Azzameen!
Military is a huge step in someones life. I started out in the Infantry and while it is pretty cool to fire all the weapons it is also a grualing experience. But at the end of teh day it is a very satisfying one.

Talon:
Man, I couldnt not completely disagree with you more. Sorry friend. Playing war and making it have nothing in common. That would be like saying the US makes better laywers that the rest of the world due to all the TV shows: Just becuase you know the lingo and basic operational specs on military gear says nothing for your ability to effectively operate that gear in a combat situation.

I too am joining the military (Army) as a helicopter pilot. While waiting for a flight physical awhile back I over heard Instructor pilots talking about a student just starting the training and the student apparently knew a lot of the terminology and what was supposed to come next during a flight. whether or not he had the ability to fly I dont know, but he already had a basic knowledge because of video games.
