In 1999 when I was still doing Environmental work I ended up trading as if I was a pro.
The crew I was on had just finished a 12+ month job that was 100% prevailing wage where we all had worked 84 hours a week.... then to top that off we landed another job removing PCBs from the fox river which was an even higher paying prevailing wage job. We all had more money coming in then we knew what to do with. With us working 84 hours a week we were really short on shopping time, so it all piled up.
With all the extra money talked my wife into letting me try out the markets. Sense I was the project administrator I was at a PC all day long where I working on my portfolio more than my real job. It started with just me investing and my crew watched over my shoulder. Once I made a 70% profit in one month most of my coworkers quickly joined in on the fun. I kept their account info and placed orders for them while they were working in the field. By our 5 month we had a real trading operation going on, and it was great fun and a great learning experience. The president of our company and the CFO were regularly teaching us how to use the charts and they called every few days to BS with us about stocks.
Those were good times

THE FIRST THING MY ONLINE BROKER (NDB) TOLD ME WAS TO GET A BACKUP ISP.
That guy is a fool. Him not having a backup yet bitching at you is the equivalent of a skydiver jumping with out spare parachute.
