Only posting this because Chiana is a nice gal and I thought some of you might get a kick out of this. I don't know why, but these things generate a lot of attention. The last "Miss Galaxie" or whatever, made it on G4 TV and tons of fan sites mentioned it (though I think the host have their own radio show and can could blab about it a lot). Why they are so popular, I have no idea, but I hope that Chiana and friends have a good event.

Also check below for the "Galaxy Girls Calendar 2004" Calander link which they are getting praise too. I think all of this is really funny, but check it out if you want to-

Quote:
Ok guys...

This competition is for YOU. It is coming together slowly and will most likely be held in March. We have a web page started and a forum to consolidate questions and competitors. (will post the link later today or tomorrow).

You can only sign up for one of the three competitions, and no you don't have to be from the planet that is hosting it.

Mr. Tatooine
Mr. Corellia
Mr. Naboo

The 4 winners from these 3 competitions will go onto the final and be crowned Mr. Chilastra. Prizes are still being worked out and if anyone wants to contribute to the competition or help out, please contact me through in game emails.

Dates will be announced later but probably the beginning of March.

There will be an opening number (you must come to the rehearsal) with a 'short' introduction at this time.
Interview with judges
Fitness competition, to show off your hard bodies (or soft).
Talent segment: this is NOT just for dancers, be creative. You have about 1 1/2 minutes to show off your talents, jokes, poetry, fighting moves.. be creative.
The last portion of the competition is the combat clothes category (wasn't sure what else to call it) but this will be in place of evening wear, since men are very limited in that category, I figured it would be more fun to wear your most combat oriented outfit and it will be scored on originality, and how well it fits, accessories can be used.

You also need to be orderly and be able to follow simple rules.

So, be on the look out for more information, and start preparing.

All species are invited to participate.

~~~Y Chiana Y~~~
Bah, only Twi'lek and Humans in the calendar!
But I agree ROm, August is a god one.
Now that you mention it... the image is shot so the bothan features are as inobtrusive as possible, such as her snout covered by her upraised arm, and the mammalian features emphasized.
I would have wished for at least one Rodian like Greeata or a sexy Mon Cal lady.
Chiana said that those on the calander were picked by the Galaxie Guys (not sure what that means, but maybe they already had a contest somewhere for guys...) and there were none of the "Rare" female pictures really sumbitted. Maybe some of you should get out there with a camera and make your own female non-human/twi'lek only calander... though there number is so small, you'll end up shooting the same two girls over and over. :oops:
Yes, they had. For all the ladies out there:
Galaxy Guys Calendar 2004
I think this one has a better choice of races than the Girls calendar, it has a Rodian, a Zabrak and a Wookiee as well the "standard" choices of Human, Twi'lek and Bothan. Rom would have fit in quite well with all those pics :)
Edward/Rak Hagga
especially likes the back cover picture...
No Calamari either. Don't know why.
Guess we are prejudiced against.
Says it in the original quote Warnel posted, almost at the very last line. Are you guys just talking about the lack of dosh/fish in the female calendar?
In the male one as well.
At least the Rodians got a cool musician, the Wookiees got that hulking guy and the Zabrak got that guy with the impressive fighting moves.
No such luck for Mon Cal and Dosh.
Rak
doesn't have time to enter in the Mr. Chilastra contest as comic relief
Hmm, Remedack's lost a lot of weight swinging that long vibro axe around. Maybe he should give it a shot... :P
I think Avian needs some obscenity legislation because regardless of the lack of nudity and adult content, *that* is obscene.
