Good to hear. I'd love to be able to get some Avians in game there and form our own battlegroup. Given our community I bet we could get a decent force together complete with co-operation.

Honestly, my thing with Battlefront is I am honestly not sure if I think they are going to be able to do any better than Galactic Conquest with that game. GC is da bom yo, and especially after SWG and what I see of JTL, I think LEC has lost sight of what was so great about the old SW games.

hopefully they release a demo so i can try it out..otherwise i'll wait for some other input/reviews but it looks good..im split between battlefront and commando..

I know what you mean. Battlefront has the neat extra mulitplayer stuff going for it, but commando.. just looks a lot more interesting right now.

I would keep to the big rifles.
Like the DC-15 rifle (not sniper, hate those guys) or the rifle that the stormtrooper leader in ANH carries (PT-12 i think) but the last one is not included (too bad)

Can you say player vs player, AT-AT vs snowspeeder battles!!!

I have a strong feeling that the Hoth map is gonna be very popular and fun.

Alternatively, pwning noob gungans on Naboo could be a blast as well. hehe

I thought the AT-AT were going to be NPC/automated. On Hoth, I figured they would slowly march towards the rebel base while the real players used AT-ST's to fend off snowspeeders.

Now that I see players can actually operate them... I'm a little worried! I can see people going mad with the controls and just stomping on everything and everyone around them- including teammates for fun. Not that I dislike the idea of driving one of those myself, I'll try not to crush my friends.

Hehe...it may have taken the force for Luke to single-handedly take out an AT-AT...it should only take common sense to not get crushed...then again, for some people, common sense is about as illusive as the force

I've been thinking about getting this but I am not a huge fan of online games like this because of rampant cheating and also just generally not being able to compete very well against twitchy 15 year olds. The single player game looks fairly unappealing. I still may give it a try though.

I haven't played much team-FPS online but am gonna give this one a go. Just signed up with what sounds like to be a decent squad, TAW. Should prove to be interesting at the least. I figure joining an experienced group like this (they play many shooters) should help the gameplay significantly (i.e. no trying to work as a team with 10 yr olds).

I don't think the game was built as a single player experiance, mainly because all the ads/commericals hightlight it as an online game first and in bulk. A lot of time these online shooters only have a single player mode that really is just there to train you for the online stuff. Might wait for a few more reviews about that part of the game if that is what youre looking forward too. Should be released Monday/Tuesday here in the US and more reviews soon.

Nope, can't run a server but I'm intersted in forming a friendly team. If anyone knows of a good group with a server let us know if no one is going to host one.

I tried to get the game today, but the places I know who sell early were sold out. Walmat always put stuff up on the weekends so might check there if you want it before tuesday... Some times BestBuy does too, though I think Lucas has them on a short leash this year like the rest of the retailors.
