Anybody else love this game?? I drug it out of my box of "has-beens" out of frustration for not being able to play WoW yet. I had forgotten how much I LOVED this game. The depth is absolutely amazing. Extremely challenging, and adequately rewarding when you accomplish an assignment.

I played this game long ago. It really was very fun. I loved setting up trade with neighboring cities and watching the money roll in. A really well done and certainly under-appreciated game. I'd love to play it again, but there's too many other games to play.

Yeah, it's really good. I heard Rome: Total War is awesome these days. I love that time period.

I liked having marble mines, no need to process the raw materials - sell them right away. I remember what a pain in a butt it was to raise the property value enough for the rich patricians to move to your city. Fun fun game. The only qualm I had was with the AI - you have to be careful how you build roads, otherwise th guys always get lost or they try to entertain miners and farmers instead of residents. I guess that's part of the game, though :)

hehe... i never had that problem. I'm stuck on the Questor level (it's like the 3rd assignment I think). I've restarted several times, and I just can't get to a stable point. I'm always putting out fires or rebuilding fumagated neighborhoods. And just when I think that's over, a horde comes and levels the whole city. Irritating.

Well another Horde came and sacked my city, but I guess that's par for the course. This time I was a little more prepared. I had a thick wall on the side of the city they came from and they skirted it and came right down mainstreet where I had a VERY small legion waiting for them. With my troops and prefects that were patrolling the street at the time finally chased them off, they only leveled a few neighborhoods, a forum, a bath and my hospital. My warehouses were left intact (praise Ceres). :P

I think I can rebuild from that point fairly easily. I just may get this next promotion after all. :)
