Just a quick post celebrating my passing of the big professional accountancy exam yesterday. Its been 3+ years in the making (very rigorous program to even get to write the exam) and the exam itself was 3 days (13 hours long).

Its been an exhausting time getting there but I can finally call myself a Chartered Accountant (CA) - effectively a CPA for all your american folks out there.

Yesterday was a great relief to say the least.

Just to let you all know that if you set your mind to something, don't give up, and good things will come. (Ok enough about that, let's get back to gaming)

So, will you help me do my Taxes? Or is the American system just too arcane and impossible to understand?

Yo just hit the nail on the head based on what our tax group tell me (and based on their constant screams of pain from the 18th floor :D )

Crap!

I completely forgot to congratulate you. Sorry about that.

Congratulations A! Very happy to see you achieving something so important to you.

Funny thing is I'm contemplating applying for an Assistant Producer job with Bioware. Go figure, just get up there in accounting and I see this posting and am tempted to get out. :D

If the pay is the same then I might as well go for it since game making would be soo fun. Anyone know how much an assistant producer makes (I have no idea really)?

It really depends on where you work. Now at Blizzard in an assistant position I get as much as did in a team lead position in the small game company I worked two years ago (which is, not much).
