Well my classes start Tuesday, but I know many of you guys are already back in school. What are you taking this semester?

My classes this semester are:

    CM 2131 - Materials, Methods, and Equipment II (Heavy and Industrial Construction) (3): Prereq: CM 2121. Continuation of CM 2121. Emphasis on both heavy and industrial equipment.

    CM 3002 - Construction Planning and Scheduling (3): Prereq: CM 1400 or approved computer elective and CM 2121. Fundamentals of planning and scheduling techniques used in construction industry to manage construction projects.

    CM 3506 - Structural Technology II (3): Prereq: CM 3505. Structural design of ordinary timber, steel, and reinforced concrete building and bridges in accordance with appropriate design code specifications. Emphasizes allowable stress design provisions to achieve safe and serviceable structural resistance to vertical and lateral load effects.

    CM 4200 - Construction Administration (3): Prereq: CM 3000, 3002,3121. Principles and theory of ownership, organization, contracts, insurance, bonding, and labor relations pertaining to the construction industry.

    ACCT 2101 Introductory Managerial Accounting (3). Prereq.: ACCT 2000 or 2001 or equivalent; MATH 1431. Principles and methods of accounting primarily concerned with data gathering and presentation for purposes of internal management evaluation and decision making.

    MGT 4620 Human Behavior in Organizations (3) Prereq.: MGT 3200. Behavioral sciences aPlied to understanding human dynamics in organizations; focus on individual, interpersonal, group, and intergroup behavior; impact of human behavior on organizational effectiveness.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. :oops:

But just for conversation sake, If I were to take a class I'd like to take a Personal Selling class since its something that everyone does almost daily. Whether its an idea of yours, yourself (job interviews), or even where you want to eat tonight with your friends. I figure it would be pretty useful.

Wow, I'm actually taking something similar to you Cyrus, although it seems that you are a little further into your education. Here's my list, (poorly) translated from norwegian:

Engineering mathematics II
Physics
Surveying
Mechanics (Static constructions)
Properties of building materials
Technical drawing

In the UK, there are new government guidelines coming into place to deal with Stress in the Workplace.

I'm considering doing a Counselling Diploma as I heard it'll soon be a licence to print money :lol: I also like to help people to help themselves so there may be some job satisfaction in there somewhere! :D

Whoo hooo! Add another one to my list. And chalk another one to my force persuasion skill.

    Industrial Construction Estimating (3): Prereq: CM 2131 and CM 3121. 2 hrs lecture, 2 hrs lab. Principles of estimating including quantity surveys, pricing analysis, and bid package preparation for Industrial projects.
