The "Coarse Stone" that comes with n00b copper deposits.

I can use that to literally grind up my engineering (by turning it into Coarse Blasting Powder).

Linen cloth is in short supply around Dun Morogh, though.

Once I have left the area Linen should be no problem at all.

Go to the quarry in Dun Morogh, you'll find a lot of linen there.

Yeah, came across that on ym way to Loch Modan and spent a happy hour with Rentin levelling and farming stones and Linen.

Thanks for help with gathering linen cloth, Im now at 100 tailoring skill.
I can make woolen bags now, but need Wool cloth (or Bolt of woolen cloth) for the larger bags. Havent figured out where those drop yet.

i played the game at a friend's house last weekend and cant wait to get it myself... it was so good... created a gnome mage and i found it so easy to get into the game. i even enjoyed just jumping around bc of those nice graphics. unfortunately my friend joined a guild on proudmoor (sp?) before i could convince him to create a char on emerald dream and join avian. if we need to i am pretty sure he will create a char on emerald dream in case we need more players to form a guild. at one point some a lvl 3 pala asked my for a duel and i engaged him in pvp - must have looked pretty funny: 2 noobs with like no skills and prolly less knowledge of what they are doing trying to kill each other. needless to say i owned him... haha! - well actually it was pretty close, i could keep him at range most of the time with my frost armor and wear him down with fireballs - but what matters is that it was a lot of fun! (maybe even if i had lost...)
why i am typing this? - just needed to share my happiness with someone

but i wasnt going to have any friends, much to eat or anything related to soap and water for the next couple of days either...

what do you do when you look for groups? is there anything like LFG?

what is acutally bothering me though is that sometimes i have a hard time finding those people that quests send me to, or once i have completed a quest getting back to them because i simply dont know where they are anymore. - any suggestions? i am about to write down who gave me which quest and where the person is located.

Hmm, most of the time the quest log does that for me. Tells me who gave me a quest, in which city, and when I get close enough to them in the city they are even shown on the mini map.

Simply put, I can't quite understand your problem here, unless you have not found out that you can open the quest log with "L".

That should solve all your problems.

Some of the quest series begin to get more familiar with the log as you get further and further down the quest series. They will tell you to find Bob, but a quest or two before they explained where Bob was. In these instances I guess Bliz assumes you remember all about Bob. Most of the time I do remember, but other times I get lost. That is when thottbot.com comes in handy.

And if you simply have forgotten where to find the person that gave you the quest try using http://www.thottbot.com

And there is a "LFG" channel (channel 4?).

guess i am just to overexited to read properly...
of course, today it took me 5min to find the guy i had been looking for 30min last night

about the lfg, i am now able to acess that channel, but as edward told me there is a bug which prevents german and english clients from interacting, anyone know a mod to fix that?

Think I've found a way to transfer stuff from alliance to horde.
In gadgetzan there is an auction house open to both sides, and its almost never used.
Get both your characters there and log them out.
Have the char with the items offer them to the AH ( at low price if you just want to transfer items, or with a very high price if you want to transfer cash)
Then log the other char and buy the items.
