I started grinding up Bewa to be a Jedi Hunter the other day. I started the grind a long time ago but I could just never bring myself to go out, buff up and hit the mission terms. The thought of many hours just driving to and from Quenker spawn to quenker spawn was just to much for me.

This time around I found a new, and much more enjoyable way to do it. With the new GCW changes you can choose to be a combatant where Rebel (im Imp) NPCs can attack you, and you them but Rebel Players cannot.

With this in mind I buffed up and traveled to Corellia (a planet currently held but the Rebels) and chose a major city - Kor Vella. Since Corellia is Rebel held there are dozens of Rebel NPCs around each city that are 9-15k HAM. As a Novice Carbineer this means about 3.6-3.9k per kill. At first it took a bit to drop them but now that I have gained 2 boxes they drop increasingly faster.

Im not sure how long the XP will hold out but for now and for at least 3-4 more boxes I can bypass the usual grind and have much more fun picking off Rebel NPCs around town. Also at 10-22FP each its a very nice way to gain some Faction along the way.

Probably the best part of it all is that you are always in a city so if you are killing around Cnet you can just bop over to the cantina for a quick BF heal or rebuff.

Also, I grouped with a guy about my skill (TKA) and my XP didnt seem to drop all the much and with the ability to kill faster it probably went up slightly over time.

That's cool. How easy are the city guards to drop? What's the minimum skill you need? Do you still need buffs to be reasonable in combat or has that changed yet?

The guards are 8-14k. I started at Master Marksman and made Novice Carbine pretty quick. Yeah you still need Buffs but now that you can be in the city its not that hard to get.

I long for a Buff free play.

Angus: Cities are held by both Imps and Rebels so you can partake in the kill spree as well
