Let me know how it goes. coH was a great 1-dimensional game when I played it for the first 3 months (maybe a bit more), but in the end it didn't have the legs to keep me in there.

The Villians looks like it might add a bit of depth/fun to the activity.

It was very 1D. They're adding some things to the game now to add a few more dimensions. There's going to be some crafting added, Universities are being built in many of the zones... not sure what those are for completely. This is all non NDA stuff. It's a fun game in it's simplicity for something to just jump in and have some fun. But being a villain has always got my interest. Plus, PvP!

I played CoH for 4 or 5 months before the release of WoW and it was refreshing. I'm alas too invested in WoW at the moment to try CoV, can't do everythign at once. :(

I think it is an interesting idea to basically have two games CoH and CoV then combine them with PvP. Screwd but not annoying business move plus it really does offer a way to improve the game without looking like a revamp.

The fortress idea seems appealing as well. let us know how the beta goes or at least as much as you can before the NDA goes away.

Will do. I'll try and report what I can legally. I plan on some extensive "testing" this weekend. I actaully want to test this one since I know that the Devs listen to customer feedback. Those SWG beta's were a waste of everyone's time. WoW beta was fun and you could watch the progress of changes from customer feedback. Now, time for my greatest fear.... juggling to MMO's that hold my interest! Eeek!

CoH was a great action game. But as far as an MMORPG, not really. I mean it was one of the best action games I've ever played. But it just doesnt have staying power.

Kinda like mowing people down in GTA. :D Its fun for awhile.

Yeah, not much ability for RP in that game, but plenty of chances for light hearted fun. I'm really anxious to see how PvP will work out. Especially with groups going at it. It's going to look like a Pink Floyd light show lol. The emphasis won't so much be on equipment since it's nonexistant, but your enhancements and knowing how to use your powers.

A few of my friends apparently got in too. As a joke for beta, our super villain super group will be called "Big Tobaco" and of course, all toons will be in suits with the cigar feature on the faces lol.

Wow that game sounds interesting. I once thought about trying COH but everyone was saying it has no depth and it sucks and all that. CoV sounds like a great add on/fix. I will prob try it when it comes out :)

(to bad SOE does not feel the need to totaly redo or revamp galaxies [in a good way this time])

A link for the game. And what's the reason for the tobacco team? Some ironic, sarcastic or personal reason?

Big Tobaco is the name we give to the 3 large tabocco companies on this country. 'Big Tobaco' has a negative connotation as tobacco companies are commonly viewed as evil corporations who do anything for a profit without consideration for the effects of their practices.

It's purely sarcastic. As a smoker, I find amusement at the demonization of the companies with the "BIG" name. Now anytime some group wants to make a company out to be evil, they add that. Latest would be Big Oil. lol.
I make most of my characters light hearted. Like my super powered attorney who yells in battle "Feel the power of attorney!"

Testing is only up for 2 hours a day at this point, but what I've seen it's pretty fun and some new stuff. Character creation is half the fun right now.

I saw the box in Bestbuy today. Man was it hard not to buy it. I think once beta gets more rounded out Ill pre-order and jump into Beta.

Definitely wait to try and get in beta. The testing window is so small right now so everyone is logging into the same spot trying to do the same things. It's chaos. Hopefully extended testing hours will be coming soon.

The game seems very interesting because the primary goal for the player is domination. That'll be alot of competition among players.

I think currently in overall it looks good.

I have to read a little more b4 I can say more.

I play CoH on the Pinnacle server, and I've got CoV pre-ordered.

It's a nice little game to pass a few hours here and there.

I saw a pre-order box from Best Buy for 10 bucks so I picked it up. Comes with a Beta Invite and a 14day trial of CoH and a free dload of CoH.

I'll install it next week and check it out.
