So I have been tinkering with this site for a while now but I think it may be close to launching and want to get your input and comments on it.

It is basically a gamer dedicated screenshot uploader. You can click on the game you like and you can view screenshots from within that game.

I realize that some of the functions, like comments, are not working yet. Im more looking for input on the general site functionality.

My questions are these:
Are you bother that I change your filename to a number?
Would you rather i use your filename and append it so none are duplicated?
example: screenshot1.jpg would become screenshot1a.jpg

Is choosing your game annoying? How else could I be able to seperate images into game specific catergories?

If a game does not have any shots in it should it still be listed in the 'Browse a game' dropdown on the left?

Is this a site you woudl use? If yes, why? if not, why? <-- don't worry I wont get offended.

What features or functions would you like to see?

notes:
When you upload an image a thumbnail is made. I just have not added that thumbnail to the available 'get code' listings.

I still need to adjust the way you link to images to prevent abuse. This is something I would be interested to hear comments on ways to track/prevent abuse.

Feel free to signup and upload images. Try and break it and then tell me how you broke it.

I'm dead-tired but took the time to at least browse the pics that are there. Easy-to-use, easy-to-navigate site. Clean layout and appearance.

I'm not a real big screenshot taker but when the mood strikes me to do it, sharing them here would be very cool.

Personally, i don't care if you rename the image files as long as an image caption is supported (which I noticed was).

I'll poke it somemore tomorrow and give you more feedback.

In short, first impression: 8)

At first glance (don't have much time as I have to run to training) this is very cool. When out questing/adventuring I love to take screenies of cool things I find or gorgeous backdrops. I could see myself using something like this to showcase pics. Also a nice place to find cool desktops.

Nope, that's cool. It'd be expected in a free service

Nope, that's cool. Maybe have 5 or 6 thumbnails all over the front page, though?

If a game does not have any shots in it should it still be listed in the 'Browse a game' dropdown on the left?
Yes, with the message - Upload shots now! - They should also be ranked with the most popular at top

Is this a site you woudl use? If yes, why? if not, why? <-- don't worry I wont get offended.
Yep, for when I do take screenies. Easier then uploading to my FTP site, which I always forget the password to.

What features or functions would you like to see?
-I would like to upload a zip, have it unzip and then add all the pics and give me links for them...
- I think the form fields on the upload box should be a slightly different color -- maybe lightblue. That'd add some contrast to the front page.
- The columns of games at the bottom of the front page need to be a bit wider. The <TD width='100' class = 'gen'> Should be <TD width='33%' class = 'gen'>
- When you view a list of all images tiled together, can you have an option under each for "Popup" that would load a popup window with just the image, rather than the HTML holder page for it?
- When you show the entire image witht he HTML holder page, can you left align the text under the image, and also add the BB code to link to the image?
- Maybe add a "Donate via Paypal" link to donate $2 or something?

Feel free to signup and upload images. Try and break it and then tell me how you broke it.
- When I look at an image that's a thumbnail on the front page, it shows fine. But, the googleSyn image at the top has a "You are not authorized..." error and doesn't show an add. Also, when I click back, it just goes back in that iframe that's holding the add... so I have to hit back twice to go to the main page.
- Under "Disk Space" on the left, is that Disk Space taken total, by WoW, or space free?

- The "report image" wasn't working yet... I saw some scantily clad Elven midrifts... ;)

Good stuff! May we start using this now?

I like the site. Clean, easy to navigate... has a specific purpose, and does it well.

What i'd suggest for additions, is #1, way to browse pictures by the submitter. #2, perhaps a search feature, to search by the captions. #3, the "Any Game" category, should that Display all pictures submitted, or any games that are not on the list?

/agree with Ravage (does this make me insane or inane?)

Also, a possible feature would be a previous/next when you go to an expanded image. Thta way people can scroll through the large photos or thumbnails as well.

Vey clean looking site.

thanks for all your input. I've started making changes based on all your suggestions.
Yak: the google error has been fixed. Seemed to only be an issue on IE and not FF. I was thinking of doing a WoW and SWG tab at the top and maybe any other game that becomes popular. I'll add an "Add Shots Now" with an uploader to empty cats but probably be removing them from the browse cat drop down leaving them only in the List all cats at the bottom of the page.
I'll be adding GoogleAds to the site once it is ready. They made me quite a bit of cash back when I had questloot up and running. The Zips are a good idea but something I may not add for a while. I also need to do a major overhaul on the UserCP as it is crap right now.

Ravage: There will be a view members images at some point. Any Game used to be a catch all catergory but I think that it is confusing so I removed it. The Text Search is a good idea.

Arindel: Thumbs on the <--Previous Next --> is a good idea. Im adding Pagination now and Ill try and add the thumbs.

The total disk space is just the total amount of disk space that that catergory takes up. There is currently no user limitations on number of uploads or total space used. Is this confusing?

Oh and Yes. You can start using the site now. :)

#4, way to choose how many thumbnails are available on each page (for those of us who loathe clicking to the next page) (10, 20, 50, 100, via dropdown box for example)

#5, Clicking the full size picture, brings you back to the page of thumbnails it was on. (for instances of 50-100 pictures on the page, would be helpfull to scroll you down so its at the appropriate row, as well) :)

Well I made a number of changes and some security updates. If you have the time please check it out again.

There are still a number of things I will be adding and many of them are things you all suggested.

next previous
Select # of displayed thumbs
Search text/captions
view all user images
click on image returns you to appropriate thumb page (instead of starting over)
Makign game specific features and pages: WoW TGA uploaded, SWG page, WoW page etc.
Allow for prefs so 'your game' is auto selected in the upload dropdown.

These are things that I am adding over the next wave of updates. For now I wanted to get the site funcitonal and I think I have.

I will start making the site public once I get a bit nore feedback. For now though please feel free to use the site.

Thanks to everyone for their input!

I like it.

Though one thing.
For me it always takes a long time to click-click-click to upload one screenie.

Is it possible to upload multiple images?
Of course a limit of how many at the time, but still I would like it.

yeah there is and my app is set up to be able to do that now. I will be adding that feature in for registered users when I revamp the user control panel.
