Just got to Cordalis (rogue) to level 9 on Dalaron.

Also have a Level 7 Tauren Warrior named Crodlar, on Maelstrom.

I have to say it's quite fun...glad i finally jumped on.

So, I was thinking of starting a new character on Dalaran since I like the Night Elves and the Gnomes. What do we need on the Dalaran server? I'm asking again cause it has been awhile since the question was posted... you may have a ton of low level Druids runnin around now. Also, how do you break up the professions? Is there a master list of who is where with what classes and professions? If there isn't I wouldn't mind throwin' together a excel doc for us, For both servers.

Warlocks, druids, warriors and priests are probably the most needed classes, in that order. However, play what's fun! If 'fun' happens to be one of the above, all the better. :)

As to professions, we have no single, regularly-updated list of professions.

On Dalaran I'd say the following are still needed (at least at the high high levels). I think there are some of these at lower-mid levels but not sure how much action they see.

- priest
- druid
- warlock

But as anyone will tell ya play what you want. I am thinking about making a new priest over there after experiencing the fun they can be on the Horde (Maelstrom) side. The only thing is I dunno how much time I can devote to leveling up fast enough. I made a druid but didn't paly enough to tell if I liked it.

As for professions, there is no formal listing of who does what (at least none that I know of). More just the case where someone posts what they can make, or what someone wants and the appropriate person looks after it.

Only profs I can think of needing, or at least low on, is enchanters. But that is a very expensive and time-consuming (in terms of selling stuff) profession. If you are looking for money, herbs and skinning is money in the bank.

Profession wise, I think it's always good to have redundant Smithys.

Armorsmith, and Weaponsmith is ALWAYS good.

We have Leatherworkers., Although I don't know if Tribal or Elemental are covered. I'm thinking they are. Dragonscale is covered.

Enchanter is covered. Guds, being a 300 enchanter, wouldn't wish that grind on anyone. ( if you REALLY want an Enchanter, go for it, but you will be poor, Best to do it with a "twink character")

I think I Heard Tailoring will have Brandches like the Leatherworking tree, so I know I have 2 tailors, and Manni is a third. Pretty sure Twizz is another.

Alchemy is covered as well.

Good point Jegs, totally forgot another armorer or blacksmith would be nice. I am sure all our gatherers could help raise the materials needed to grind up such skills. If I recall copper is needed like crazy to level these up.

Roran is going to be a hammersmith.

I'd like to hear if anyone has plans for other weapons? I could move to swordsmith as they seem to be a better choice for more people. I think Vognar was going to be the Swordsmith.

I have an Orc Shaman ( 18 ) on Malestrom that is into mining and blacksmithing (up the axe tree eventually). I'm pretty serious about it (though mats are holding me back a bit atm) and I'd be glad to help anyone out as I gain ranks. I'm about level 100 for both professions at the moment. So if anyone starts a horde character let me know and I'll make and mail out weapons (and anything else I can make) to you as you need.

And you'll need em on the PvP server

Come join in on the Horde fun and the fewer server issues on Maelstrom. Would be great to game with you again soon!

What are your average levels for the alliance server and the horde server?

I just went back to WoW and my old guild has morphed into a level 60 exclusive club on Argent Dawn, if a good portion of you are still working up the ladder, I may throw myself an application in.

On Maelstrom (our Horde server) there are about 15 or so folks that play pretty often. I'd say our average level is around the mid to low 30's. We have a bunch of alts that are in the teens and low 20's. Our highest group of 3 folks are in the 41-45 range.

On the Alliance side, we run the spectrum.

We have a solid group of 60's in an Alliance with another guild and are working on MC.

But we also have tons of lower level members as well.

So would you say you have more lower folks on Horde side or the Alliance side?

I guess it doesn't matter because you are all in both guilds, or at least most of you are?

The Alliance guild is by far the larger group, and the most established. We have an alliance put together and are actively raiding both MC and ZG.

The Horde guild is smaller, younger, top levels are around 40 or so... but there are a very active group of players there as well. Also, be advised, the Horde group is on a PVP server, the Alliance is on a PVE server.
