My 5 year old son started a character (on my account) in Wow this weekend. He chose a night elf hunter and is at level 4. He's getting help with some things (reading the quests, buying/selling stuff, upgrading his armor, buying skills, etc.) but Liam's the one doing the running around, killing and looting. He's having a fabulous time. His character name is Liiam so if you see him around him, he probably won't say anything since he doesn't use any of the chat features (can't read yet anyway).

My question - should he be put in the guild or is it better not to? I'm fine with either - just thought I should throw it out there.

Don't think it really matters, as you will be doing all the interacting for him anyway. Anyone in the guild, if you needed something for him, would act like he is a member anyway.

That's cool - of course I would lose serious wife faction if I were to get Gracie too involved in WoW. :P

Yea, me too. My 3 yo son was watching me kill some stags in Ashenvale the other day and told his mom that "daddy was killing reindeer on the computer!"

Both hubby and I play WoW and both boys watch. My toddler likes to sit on my lap and point at stuff as I run around. Liam's been huge into Star Wars Lego, but since he's been playing that for a few months straight, I thought it would be fun for him to have something to switch off of - so I suggested he start WoW. He's one of those kids who loves and is really good at video games - he's even better than I am. He plays a mean game of Frogger and routinely kicks my butt. He asks me to play and when I do he's sitting there guiding me through levels I have never been before "Ok, Mama, go here and get that. Watch out for this bad guy" "No Mama, you're going to get killed!" "Aw Mama, you got killed..."

Imagine going into your home and hear your daughter or son from the livin' room saying that.

Yeah, that's awesome. My boys love to watch me play WoW and I let them press buttons for me. The 4 year old loves killing dinosaurs.
