While admiring Yaks most excellent (and safe!) sampling technique the other day, I recieved a call from Iobike who needed help with a mission.
(admiring yaks technique)
He had spoken with a distraught man near the Concert hall in Keren whose master had been kidnapped. The kidnappers turned out to be dangerous pirates, and the man had warned Iobike to bring some friends along, and heeding this advice Iobike asked if I could back him up. We moved far south towards the coordinates where the Master had last been seen, and we spotted a pirate base hidden in a small valley.
(Scouting the pirate base)
We waited until nightfall and fortunately it started raining to cover our inital attack. We dispatched the guards before they knew what hit them. We were jamming their coms so no one inside had heard what happened to the guards.
(Taking out the guards)
Once inside we somehow managed to slice the comnet after much trial and error and drew up the base layouts (If only Sluggy had been there, he'd have done it in a second).
(Getting the layout)
The layout was a good help in finding the kidnapped Master and his two assitants. We checked our armor readied our weapons and Iobike counted us down
(Ready to attack!)
We were about to charge ahead when the lieutenant came wandering out to check up on those guards he had sent out.
(Facing down the lieutenant)
After a brief but tough firefight we managed to take him out. Only now the base was alerted to our presence. We had to act quickly!
Our inital plan to sneak in and rescue the hostages was obviously of no use, so we moved quickly and cautiously ahead, clearing room after room before the pirates could grasp the seriousness of the situation and muster a counter attack.
Nearing what we decided must be the center of the base we encountered Ek'Ta Issoc the dreaded pirate master! He was superior in arms, but with our superior tactics (First dealing a serious bleeding wound to him and then imitating a very hasty withdrawal and promptly playing dead *cough*incapped*cough*) We managed to outwit him and slowly drain his strength until we could finish him off.
(Attacking the boss)
After Ek'Ta Issoc had been taken out, the rest of the pirates gave up without much resistance.
We uncovered strange chambers in the underground base, but decided to leave this to the authorities, having achieved what we came here for.
(Weird chamber)
After a hard days work, it's nice to be able to relax at the Kadaara beech
(Relaxing at the beech)
OOC Summary: Cool "dungeon", tough mobs for two guys (maybe if we'd taken it a bit slower) though we're both novice pistoleers with DX2's. Biggest gripe: NO LOOT

, apart from the Xp and the combat xp bonus from rescuing the kidnappees. There are "chest" but they are all empty.
PS: Yes I know the pics are not strictly sequential, but hey, why ruin a good story
